Is having a red heat light in a dry room ok? I know people say to have in a dark room. Just chopped these today but I’m growing in the basement so it’s about 62 degrees so I through the heat light in there.

62 degrees is fine. I think UV is what’s messes it up.

What are you’re daytime temps?

You usually want 7-10 days hanging...
Do you bud wash?

Would also recommend a better trim job. Just asking for mold.

Day and night don’t really change the temps it’s In a basement steady 61-62 degree with 40+- humidity. It’s my first grow have never bud washed don’t know what it is either. I had saw some people hang whole for a day or to then trim‍♂️ I can trim whenever I’m not familiar with the process through

Plenty of folks hang the entire plant without mold problems. Myself included. Mold only starts if you let it into your room to begin with. With the rh under 60% your risk is minimal.

62°f is nice. Lower temps are better they preserve more of those yummy terpenes were all chasing. Humidity is a little low, it may dry pretty quick. Be ready to put it into jars and start burping after about 3 days.

Yea I figure tonight or tomorrow I will trim them up whenever I have time even if they hang another day.

I hang mine with almost all the leaves for the 1st 3 days. But I keep fans blowing on them so Humidity doesn't cause mold / bud rot. After 3 days I remove all the leaves & hang it again til the branches are crisp enough to break between 2 fingers. Then i jar it. Usually takes about 5 - 7 days of drying for me before I jar. Plenty of ways to dry it though.
