The first post and your picture. The leaf at the 12:00 position is clearly shriveled up due to heat and as you questioned, a short term time being too close to the light. I have nothing constructive to add about the trichomes other than the advice to wait till at least 5% amber. Anything after that is strictly personal choice.

Thanks :Namaste:

Reading around on the perfect time to chop chop
Some says wait till 5% amber , others say 30%
I am confuuuused o_O
Need more opinions
Noting that I’m growing a super silver haze

It is totally a matter of personal opinion. The more mature it is, the deeper the couchlock effect usually is, and some people just don't like it that intense. Do some multiple harvests and sample the results at 5,10, 20 and 30 and see what you think!

What were your results?
was the smoke better?
Please tell us what the difference was.
I have it documented in one of my journals... forget which one now, but I did report that the maturing process of the trichomes continued, giving me a larger percentage of amber. Most striking is that the trichomes got larger, therefore the frost was deeper. The smoke cured out to be noticeably better than the test batch grown right along with it. All research pointed to the fact that the period of darkness, no nutes, no water... definitely made the plants do put their every last bit of effort into finishing up those buds.

Thank you guys for your continuous support , wouldn’t have made it without u

Finally harvested the babies
Did the dark period before chop
It took us 6 hours to wet trim the buds, the resin -hash- collected from the scissors was enough to make a j and it was so rewarding after all the hard work
Buds hanged in a dark sealed tent with an in-line fan for intake and an exhaust carbon filter. Oschilating fans moved out of the tent as emilya said no fans,
