Wounded plant: what to do?

Hi All,

very quickly: first grow ever, outdoor (terrace), RQS royal haze autoflowering seeds, week 7 from sprouting, everything seems quite good (or at least better than my expectation) so far.

Last night, very strong wind (around 40-45 Km/h). A big sun umbrella felt down right on the plant... damaging (almost tearing off) one of the biggest branches.

Some pictures attached... what to do? Better to remove the branch or "fix" it like i did with the tape and hope for healing?

Any feedback of any kind welcome...

What you did should work fine so long as it was still partially attached

It’ll heal, I got aggressive with my training and tore a node in half. That was a week ago, it’s almost healed up now. The node
on the right was almost hanging.

Let's see in the next days... I suppose that if the "wound" is too deep to heal, leafs will turn yellow/brown and the branch will dry and die.

I've used duct tape before... anything to hold the break back in place ... it will heal :-()

I am quite sure your plant's branch will be fine, if you've supported it in place like you have it will be fine. I have had much bigger splits and tears than that all heal up good as gold.

indeed, at 24hrs from the incident, all seems good (or at least, all seems of the same green)
