Inventive set up. What light are you using? I don't know if that is a good idea to hang the reflective material on the hood. Be careful of temps and fire hazards. Best of luck and be safe.

I'm running a 1000 watt HPS
It's air-cooled it doesn't even get that hot..... I think the max temperature it gets the top of the hood that it's taped to, at max 81 or 82

Well I was going through all these different plans on building my own HPS Hood... because there are really huge ones out there that cover large amounts of space.... so you don't have to use two hoods or get a light mover I mean those are the ideal options.... "light Movers".... but since I don't have a lot of money at the moment and everything I looked at says that it's made out of hammered aluminum.... grow hoods... and I saw these aluminum looking mylar sun shades at the dollar store and they reflect so well so I decided to use them about a year-and-a-half ago and I've never looked back every girl I just throw the old ones away go buy 20 new ones for $20.... and boom new grow tent and new grow Hood

I've used those shades as well for close in reflectors..... They reflect light and heat almost as well as they conduct stray electricity... Thats the only thing i was ever worried about...
