1 or 2 LED’s for 4x4?

Using multiple lights allows you to better distribute the intense light in more areas of the grow space instead of having all of the higher intensity light concentrated in only one area while the outer edges never receive intense light.

Thanks. Really appreciate it! Learning slowly. Definitely going with 2 lights in my 4x4 now. Just have to figure out which brands/model now.

I’m using two in my 4X4 tent, I have 335W LED directly above and a 100W LED directed on a 45 degree angle one plant this time around. So far it’s going very well.

2 TSL 2000 or 2 SP3000 are the good choice for 4x4.

Hello fellow growers.
A pic of my current setup is attached. Not enough light. I’ve decided to purchase 2 new lights to replace the one I have and the one I’ve borrowed. I have a budget of $500 Canadian or just under $400 American. I’m looking for suggestions and your thoughts on what you’ve tried. Currently considering buying 2 BP 1000’s (maybe 2500’s) or 2 Mars TS 1000’s. Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks!!

Where did you purchase these components?
Ebay..... it was (4) 288 samsung boards, (2) heat sinks and (2) meanwell drivers

my hope is to grow (eventually) 2 different strains in a 4x4 tent. I have a lot of stuff to purchase, this was my start :0)

the Yield 4x4 was off of amazon, the manufacturer was out of stock...

Looking for opinions from others who have tried either way. I’m buying a new light for my 4x4 tent but am wondering if I should go with 1 light or 2? A single for 4x4 flowering coverage or 2 lights each covering 2.5x2.5 each?
2 is better than 1 IMO. Different strains grow to different heights so lets say you had multiple strains going and some were 1' taller than the others... with 2 lights you could lower the light on the smaller plants and raise the light on the bigger plants.

Plus, with lights spread apart instead of a single light directly above, you will get more side lighting which eliminates shading from top leaves, therefore probably will get slightly better penetration with 2 lights spaced out, vs 1 overhead.

2 is just more flexible for many situations.
