1st Ever Grow, Trying Coco

Crane I had my light set at 30" for when my seeds were just peaking out. After about a week I moved it down to 18" , so far so good. I have seen all positive results so far. Good luck Crane.

12 days in, and things are progressing nicely. 2 Sour Diesel's and 1 Compassion. The Compassion seems to be the runt of the litter.

Ok boys and girls, we are officially 14 days from germination. Here are some pics today. If I can just keep my drool off them, I can already feel pain relief from my Compassion . My wife can't wait for the Sour Diesel . Figures hers is out growing mine.

I am starting to notice a small amount of leaf curl upwards, not alot of the taco syndrome going on but some. I am going to try to reduce my tent temperature down about 5 degrees to 77. The room that my 4x4x8 tent is in is aprox 12x14 foot. This used to be the coldest room in the house but now with the 315 CMH running 20 hrs it's keeping that room about 80 degrees. I am exhausting my tent to my cold air return. I turned the ac on for now and ran some flect duct to the vent to help with cooling. If I could leave the door open it would cool that room down, but the noise from the 6 inch duct fan makes alot of noise. Anyone have any ideas how to quite that fan so I can open the door?

With coco/perlite mix, you can feed (water) them every day. Yes, even if the "soil" is still wet. It took me a while to buy into this, but boy howdy does it work! They grow very quickly with daily feedings, even at much lower levels than the manufacturer recommended doses. The best way it was explained to me was treat coco like hydroponic and not like soil. Which seems counter-intuitive considering it looks like soil. But unlike soil, coco has no nutrients, so you have to provide them. Also, daily feedings give those roots a much needed oxygen exchange. Another helpful tip I got was make sure to supplement Cal-Mag with each feeding. Anyway, good luck and keep the updates coming! There is a learning curve to coco but once you dial it in, it really is the best of both worlds between soil and hydroponics.

Day 24 transplanted my other 2 girls, so far so good. Kinda a pain trying to keep them all at the same height, thank goodness for those Webster dictionary's.
