CLOJ 2012 - Wowie - Blueberry Gum - Orange Bud Indoor - White Widow & Siberia Outdoor

Re: CLOJ 2012 - Wowie, Blueberry Gum, Orange Bud indoor. White Widow and Siberia outd

I have 2 of my alien that are doing the same thing. The rest took to the FIM with much success. The only varible was the placement outdoors in regards to the time shade covered them in the evening from a tree in my backyard. The two that did not branch get shade earliest with the rest following 30 minutes later. I will post a pic of what I mean shortly. I hypothesize that the only reason for this behavior is the effect of the amount of direct sunlight (in the case of an outdoor grow) our plants receive in a day. Regardless of the odd behavior, very good looking grow so far. Nice branching early. :bravo:

Thanks Shankin! I was afraid it might be a low light issue. At least that can be cured by moving her into another sunnier location, instead of being stuck with a genetic trait of the strain. I am interested to see your pic as well for comparison's sake.

Peace!

We may see supercropping differently. When I bent mine(Hawaiian Snow), there was no shot for straightening out because I kinked it. Looked like the juice couldn't get past, but growth continued and the budlets turned to the light. FIM is tricky, but get some side light on those lower shoots and you'll have your bush, I think. Siberian as in rude auto? Trans soon, taproot wants to go deep. Bury some stalk to keep height a bit lower. What does the breeder say is finish size?

Hi Propa-G! When I super cropped it, I kinked the hell out of it. I was actually worried I damaged it too much. But there it was a day later and straight as an arrow :scratchinghead: this time I have moved her out into full sun, re-supercropped, and tied that bent top down. There is no way it is gonna straighten out again. Hopefully I've stimulated some branching! Time will tell!

Thanks for looking in brother. :thumb:

Re: CLOJ 2012 - Wowie, Blueberry Gum, Orange Bud indoor. White Widow and Siberia outd

Ok, Just another quick update. Everything is growing well, Nothing too exciting yet, except for the smell. I have been opening the cab door for the last few mornings and have been greeted with a wonderful aroma! If this vegetative smell has any bearing on the flower smell, I am going to be a very happy papa!!
Anyway, They are almost 4 weeks from seed today. I am thinking I will let them go another 2 weeks, or until they show pre-flowers.. whichever comes first. The nodes are really tight, so I am hoping I get a little more vertical growth out of them before I make the switch. Some people really like tight node spacing, but I like them to be spaced a little farther apart.. I find that the plants get much better airflow at their core when they aren't so compact. Either way, I think these girls are going to produce well, but I just want to minimize any chance for mold to find a home.

Here's today's pics:

...And here we go with a week 5 update. Still growing strong! :morenutes: I have spotted the first female pre-flowers on about half of the group so far. So, I figure I'll give em another week to grow a few more inches and let the others show me some pre-flowers as well. Still not too exciting yet....

Here is the biggest Blueberry Gum girl.. Standing about 13 inches at the moment

And here is the White Widow.. Growing slowly, as we haven't had too much sun the last two weeks. Oh well, I'm sure she'll pick up steam as the summer rolls on..

That's all for now. Happy Growing! ONE LOVE!!! :Rasta:

...AND, here we are with the 1st day of 12/12 for the girls! Yesterday, I gave them a slight bump in nutes and watered them really well, and re-set the timer for the bloom cycle. Bring on the stretch!

Here's the group. The tallest is about 16", and the shortest is just over the 12" mark.

Here is the White Widow. She is growing quite quickly now. Looking great!

And here is the White Siberian. Doing a lot better now that I moved her into full sun. I have been keeping the top bent, and it has finally started to stimulate a little bottom branching. I think in a few more weeks she will bush out as I'm hoping

That's it for the moment. Happy Growing!!

Thanks for looking in Quixilver!

Another few weeks and the bud-porn begins!

Re: CLOJ 2012 - Wowie, Blueberry Gum, Orange Bud indoor. White Widow and Siberia outd

Hey Shankin

The node spacing pre-12/12 was about 2"-3"...about average I'd say. But in these first few weeks of bloom I'm expecting a fair amount of stretch. The Waui's always end up near triple their size by the end of flower. The Orange Bud will be similar. And I'm not too sure what to expect with the Blueberry Gum as this is my first experience with them. But judging by their structure, I'd say they are going to reach up a bit as well...and I hope they do. I like my plants to open up, it helps with airflow and makes it easier to see what is going on and access all parts of the plant. The only downside with lots of stretch is the height issue (which I have plenty of), and that the branches can get a little lanky (which a bit of twine and some tying can take care of).
Right now, only a few days into the switch, and they are growing about 1-1.5" a day! I'll try to get some more pics up soon as a comparison to the pics I posted the other day.

PEACE bro!

My blueberry gum's are doing the same thing :high-five:. The ones I left in veg (they momma's) are just blowing up too. The ones in flower are stretching well. Your grow looks great keep up the good work :D

My favorite part of a grow

Yessir Propa-G! Although, I must admit the last few weeks before harvest are a favorite for me!!

Awesome Curso! Are you journaling your Blueberry Gum grow?.. I'm going to look and find out. I am very interested to see another grow journal on them! I am pretty happy with them so far, but I havnt found too much info about them. The only negative that I have heard about them is that they have a higher tendency to hermy.. but time will tell. Thanks for the input breddah!
