Jeeesus H Trichome!

First Grow Conclusion:

Well, I must say this is a pretty awesome experience; I am grateful to be doing this and able to produce my own medicine. I know I have not been actively engaged with the community for the past few weeks so I apologize — been busy helping family out and I was at a location where I did not have access to the internet - hate being away!!

Looking forward to my next grow so here is the wrap up for this one:

I know I said I wasn't going to trim the CheeseDawg's like this but I just had to once I started pulling off all the fan and sugar leaves and saw how nice the buds were stacked....

CheeseDawg:
The winner of the two!! I'm glad these girls fought back from their early stunted growth and preformed nicely. They also got an extra week of flushing, a better hanging cure, and jarred at the proper time. These girls are ready to go and produced a healthy dry weight of — 103.4 grams. They are covered in orange hairs, smells like a fruity cheesy funk and are dense little golf balls. I'm really happy with the way these turned out.

GDP:
Total dry weight produced — 98.6 grams. This stuff turned out ok so far. It has taken a long time to dry and I believe it's because I jarred it a day or two too soon. I have been burping the jars daily and letting them get an extended breath of fresh air. Hopefully in a few weeks this is going to come around nicely. The buds are dense and thankfully haven't developed any mold from the long curing process. They still have an earthy, grassy, hay smell to them from the early jarring. Not ideal so I'm also hoping they will get better in time. After this is fully cured I assume my total dry weight will drop to about 95 +/- grams. I look forward to the next time I grow this strain because I know I can do better — hopefully the pheno's will be solid!

As for the NEXT grow....

I will be switching up my nutrients to try another local company. I acquired a sample pack from them and look forward to trying their products. As for the medium; I will continue to use the same organic soil and am still considering if I will switch over to coco for the next grow or continue to go down the soil path. Strains? Two - Skywalker Kush by Reserva Privada, One - Dutch Delight by Flying Dutchman — This is a Big Bud X Skunk X Afghani, One - Big Bud by Sensi Seeds. Super stoked on these strains.

The tent has been cleaned out and sterilized with a bleach water spray down. The 5 gallon root pouches, saucers, and gardening stakes will be used for the next grow as well. Not sure when it will be starting up but hopefully in the next week or two. I will be sure to start a new journal and thank you all for your support with this first grow!!

Looks Fantastic!
Been a pleasure watching these progress in your journal.

Thank you knighthawk! I must say I appreciated your presence throughout this grow. It was comforting having you drop in regularly and stay up to date - so thank you again! Impressed by your first grow as well - keep it up! Happy to grow together! :)

Thanks for sharing this one man, glad to see your latest update. That CheeseDawg looks gorgeous, enjoy the Golfball High- reminds me of KMK's Dopeumentary. I've been away and busy too, sitting down for a decent update on mine as well. Ready to see you kick some ass next round! Great choices-
Cheers bud :passitleft:

For sure Braica! Thank you for following along - you've been a solid member of the community! :blunt: Yea that CheeseDawg turned out great. I'm really happy with it and would place it in the top shelf quality range. The GDP not so much - more so lower to middle range. I wasn't expecting that but I believe it was my own fault when I jarred it too soon. Hahahaha, KMK was doppppe. I don't really follow anymore but I've been to a couple of their shows. Back in Vegas they would throw down.

Glad to hear you are staying busy. Those colas look so tasty hanging up to dry. Do they cure super fast? I look forward to your next update - those snipped girls are looking great. I'm going to topped mine later as well - not quite 7th node but probably around 5 or 6.

Mannnnn I really wish both of my Skywalker beans were proper but one of them looks questionable. Also, the Big Bud was a freebie and it looks questionable as well. I've dropped em in water and hoping they will sprout soon. Getting ready to start up a new journal for my next grow since I can't just change the title of this one and keep it a perpetual journal. Thanks again and ready to see you kick ass on your next round too bro! Cheers!

What's up Oregon Farmer, what a great looking harvest! Congrats man. Buds look amazing, well done

Thank you KevinL!! I'm looking forward to the next. You're lucky to have come across that Gumdrop! :)

Hey man I appreciate that. I'm just happy to be apart of this place. I remember when I first found 420MAG back when we still used dial-up and it was like checking out porn. Had to go over the river, through the woods, and get covered in seeds ticks just to see if the plants were still alive.
Now here we are shooting the shit, enjoying a personally grow stash from well within reach and don't have a shred of paranoia about it. It's a beautiful thing guys!
Yeah KMK was the shit, Johnny Ricthers' new stuff is on point. Life rolls on I guess..
:passitleft:
The buds dried fairly quick, I got an ounce of each strain so far. You can see I left some extra trim on 'em, snapping in about 2 weeks. With my area and climate, I can finish trim when I chop and still have a slow-paced process.

OF I missed the show man!!! Damn looks so good! The trich show on Cheese Dawg was ridiculous.
I like how you lollipopped them before cutting. I might try that when I harvest next. Gives a real good peer into how well your lighting penetrated the canopy and stuff.

Hey this grow was awesome for a first grow man, mine was a mess. I certainly didn't get 95 grams or even close. Your next grow will go even better! Proud of ya man!

When are you thinking of starting your next grow? If like to follow along and see how you do with those nutes. Which specific ones in that line are you going to use?

Hey Domina! Just started it! Check it out.... Second Grow - Soil - LED - Skywalker Kush, Big Bud, Dutch Delight. For sure, come join in!!

I'll be using pretty much the full line up - Medusa's Magic, Gaia Mania, Athena's Aminas, Demeter's Destiny, Herculean Harvest, Zeus Juice, Bloom Khaos, and Olympus Up/Hades Down.

THANK YOU ARCHI!!!! I kept dropping by your NL auto journal and saw you were keeping busy!! Good eye on the lollipopping - I will probably do it to a more extreme measure with future plants because I really don't want any of that lower popcorn stuff around. Absolutely, I agree it really shows how far light penetration is reaching. Must say that I am impressed with the overall stacking and bud development the LED's produced with all other factors included. Many people question LED but I am becoming a preacher to the choir about how well they actually work. My buddy who solely grows with ceramic in veg and HPS in flower is starting to convert as well.

Thank you for the kind words! The super lemon was a challenging one as most haze strains seem to be - I wish it would have pulled through! It's always a pleasure shooting the grow talk with ya! Next grow will be better for ya for sure!

Oh yea for sure man, I've updated my Mars led to some cobs and I'm liking what I'm seeing!
Still trying to get the hang of coco, but I think I'm making progress.
Getting ready to harvest again over the next week or two. This time with Mephisto auto's! Swing by mate!
