This morning nearly all of the large older fan leaves are dead. They're yellow with brownish spots... I am pretty certain this is normal? I don't know why but I'm starting to get nervous.

Ya im sure its just depleting it's nitrogen supplies since its coming to the end of its life. Bottom/oldest leaves right?

She's in the 8th week now, day 53, here are some pics. I think I'm seeing color change in some trichomes? I think next Tuesday I will be harvesting!

After looking at these pics on a large screen, it seems the trichomes are shriveling?
Nah. You're fine. I don't think the heads are shriveling. It looks like the stalks are swelling, lol. Like little bitty heads on over muscled bodies. 
If you have not already, switch to water only.
Home stretch now! But still the hard part is the waiting. Drying and curing seems to take forever, especially when you have no other home grown to satisfy you.

I found out the place I got the nutes had loupes! Looking at the trichomes is easier said then done though lol. There are alot of amber heads but they're tiny heads. I had to clip two tiny leaves off two different flowers cause my hands are to shaky

The day finally came...We cut her down Friday night, and I just placed the beautiful flowers in mason jars, labeled by where they grew. (Terminal, top, mid, and bottom. The one jar is only the terminal Top had all the tops of the other branches. Mid is the middle sections, below the top. Bottom is everything that was closest to the main terminal stalk. .. So, I understand why topping is recommended now lol I don't have a scale, but these are 16 oz jars, not jammed in. I think it's at least an ounce.
BIG THANK YOUS to all you who've helped me! You're a big reason I"succeeded" and didn't give up. Much love! I can't wait to do it again, however I will be starting from clones and more then one at a time next round

Ooh, and I made butter with the trimmings (plus an 8th of store bought) last night. Not sure how it's turned out yet, but will be making brownies tonight!

R.I.P. to a beautiful plant, an unknown strain but now I think it may be a chem dawg strain lol I have no clue but she smells chem dawg

I bet the Mister is proud! He should be!
Be sure to burp those jars a couple times a day for at least the first week. Do you have a little hygrometer in one of the jars? If not, get a little humidor hygrometer. Cheap and effective. Once the humidity in the jars is less than 65% you can leave it closed for longer periods.
It will only get better!
