First Timer, LandoC Attempting Indoor Purple Kush In Soil, 2020

Preston9mm do you let your ballast strike in the lowered setting? Or do you fire up at full power, then dim back down once the ballast is hot?
I fire them up at whatever setting they're on..

I change on the fly if heat starts creeping. Never had any issue, I just use the power knob like a regular ol dimmer switch.

It seems they like the extra lumens, with the light drop to 24”? I went for for a 2 hour pedal, there is at least 1/2” of new stem growth, more leaf mass, and the little one I started with the LST this morning has already turned back into the light. Do I keep dropping in 2” increments until I get to the 12-18” above canopy? I want to keep the internode spaces close together correct?

Depends on your situation, I guess...

I like the tight node spacing because my 2 primary grow rooms have a 42" max ceiling height. I'm always on top of keeping them short & squat.

On the other hand, if I had more headroom I'd let them grow more natural, with less LST & different light cycle.
Or possibly... if I had regular problems with RH spiking, I'd want a plant that is a bit more leggy... less foliage bunching.

All depends on what works best for you.

Happy Sunday everyone, peace, love, and positivity for all!
So one of the girls got transplanted over the weekend, she didn’t skip a beat...growth didn’t seem to stop or slow one bit. They are now onto the 7 fingered leaf configuration, the little ladies are growing up! I watered last night with some dried Aloe Vera, and Wollammo mixed in...

I wanted to get some silicates into my mix, this was almost local for me to procure...I haven’t found much info about it...but will also incorporate into the exterior veggie garden, to try and conquer the mildews, and moulds we have in the rain forest here...

The different genetics seem to be appearing? 2 are quite tall, with a lighter green appearance...while 2 others are very squat, and a way darker green...the last one seems to be a mix of the 2. I guess this is the gamble when you start from seeds...
Will be interesting to see how it all shakes out in the end. I hope I can keep my plants alive long enough for the fruits!

You got this!
:high-five:

Jammin' so far... everything looks great. Keep at it & they will be harvest ready before ya know it.

Just keep checking them as you have been. They will generally give us signs of any problems long before they are unfixable. Resilient little buggers, for sure.

Happy Monday Night to All! Lights are coming on soon, big night ahead of up potting to 1g Geo-Pots. Also picked up a starter pack of GP3 nutrients...I suppose I should start off slowly with the nutes ...1/3 strength to start? Everything I read about Purple Kush is that they like to eat...they are at 3 weeks from seed today.
Here are the choices for tonight’s work in the MotoGarageGrowRoom/exercise parlour?

Happy Tuesday! Transplant seemed to be a success, so far no “nute burn”. I mixed up the GP3 at 1/3 strength, (I used rain water as we are having so much rain this year!) i added a couple drops of PH up...it came out around 6.3-6.5...I am using ph strips to check. Glad I did because the rain water is around 5.6ish. Perhaps i could get away without adjusting ph, since I’m growing in promix? But I think I will try and get close to 6.5 when I feed them.
The girls look like they have really perked up overnight with the new feed program?

It’s nice and cool here today, I will take advantage of this golden opportunity: to raise the light to 3’, and go to 600 watts of MH power...I may have had a bit of stretch with the 440watts? I really am not sure yet, I’ve got a lot of learning to do here!

Good Morning 420 Magazine, Happy Wednesday...still cool here in the Canadian Rain Forest, so I dropped the light to 30” at 600 watts last night...I think they like the extra lumens, and a good source of nutrients! Seems to be at least 1/2” of growth overnight. Today is 23 days above the dirt.

Here we are at 25 days old now...they had a second feeding last night, I’m getting the nutrient solution figured out...added some Humic Acid, and Plant Guard(silica), and a couple ml’s of Cal-Mag to the GP3 mix to last nights feed...almost half strength, seems good so far. Perhaps next step is topping one or two of them? Being my first grow, I’m tempted to just let them grow naturally...just to watch and learn what they do. Perhaps a comparison between topped and natural? It’s probably just the apprehension of cutting the tops off?

I guess I can wait until they are more mature before hitting them with the 600watts? I have the ballast dimmed to 400 super lumens...which is 440 I believe?
LandoC put that ballast at 600w 100% and lower that light to 16". Your girls will be happy and quit
stretching for the light. That MH is a beast and great for the plants. Plants need a great
light and roots. You might buy a root enhancer.,. I use Great White. Also water around the
edges to force roots outward. Have a great day. Yep our grows are same age brother. :woohoo: :passitleft::slide:

Morning Magicbear...the light has been at 600watts for a couple days now, I will go lower it some though! I’m at around 28” ish above now, definitely some room to drop it down! I will probably top the 2 amazons tonight sometime?
