Sillymoose1's - LED - Indoor - Soil - Adventure

More accomplished today! The Panda film was in the mail today! Actually just finished up hanging and checking for light leaks, which there are none! Also transplanted 2 more of the solo cups into the white square pots. I'm out of room in the cabinet. Went with a bag of MG organics for these 2 pots. Just testing different soils to find the one that suits me. I'm eyeing 2 maybe 3 more veg weeks. Going to cut some clones 1 week before the switch, that way I can have a mother plant or 2. Thanks

I feel like I've been evil today! :goof: repotted the last 2 in solo cups and threw them under the LED. Not much room on my shelf, thinking I need another 300 watter (which I will probably get in a month or so). Anyways onto the evilness! I put the chains and handcuffs to these naughty naughty plants :cheesygrinsmiley: and did a bit more trimming. Starting to see how many tops I will have. I hope these are ladies:dreamy:

looking proper brother :thumb:

good luck with your garden :Namaste:

Got a question/possible issue. Oh today I was cleaning rearranging the veg cabinet, well I turned my metal halide bulb vertical with the socket to the top. Well the color changed to a more orangeish color similar to HPS. Any ideas? Do I have a dual spectrum and not know it. Hopefully this doesn't mean its about to burn out.

Metal Halide bulbs will have specific orientations for operation. It should etched in your bulb: V for vertical, H for horizontal and U for universal. It sounds like you have a horizontal bulb.

Thanks for the info Brunt. I pulled mine out and it had the U for universal. The color changed back in the vertical position but it took about 4 hours.
On the other hand today is day 30 of veg(from 1st set of real leaves) will post pics in a minute.

1st pic is cuttings from yesterday, 2nd pic is of cuttings today, 3rd is veg cabinet. The rest are the ones under the LED. A bit more LST on one. Crazy how they have filled in in only a few days after their last tie downs. Don't know what I'm gonna do if most of em turn female, good problem to have i guess:cheesygrinsmiley:

OK I need some advice/opinions. I want to go ahead and switch to flower with the 5 that are under the LED. I know the smalls one are small, lol but they are all the same age give or take a week. I have repotted the biggest one in a smart pot roughly double in size.

Heres the question.
Do you guys think I need/should repot the other 4(2 in 2.5 gal black pots and the other 2 in the smaller white pots). If so what size pot?
Also I will be ordering another LED at least another 600 watts. Depending which light i get, if its a mars2 i may use the led i have now for veg. So take that into consideration.

PS. I think I have 2 showing preflowers!!! At least that's what I believe they are after some research. And clones still going strong. Confirmed roots on 1 and it is one taken from one of the plants showing preflowers! My plan is seemingly coming along without many major hiccups!

I like to use a 2.5-3 gallon minimum pot size, but it all depends how long you Veg. Longer Veg plants would probably do better in a larger pot than that, but if you had a shorter Veg time, 2.5-3 gallons should work fine.

Basic rule that I've read was 1 gallon for every 12"/30cm of plant height. But if you LST, that number doesn't really apply, since the growth is horizontal, opposed to vertical.

Hey everyone, just here to give a bigThank You:thanks: to Smokesara!!! She immediately helped with a power supply issue in a buddy's light.:slide::cheesygrinsmiley::slide: Since I helped him fix it, maybe he will let me borrow it when I flowerm:allgood:
