Way to go for not abiding to the lie that only Big Pharma can help sick people. In fact, Major Pharmaceuticals are a huge steaming load of crap, deadly, overrated. With all the info on "CCO" or concentrated chronic oil, it's a relief to see fellow humans endeavoring on improving the quality of life for those with dangerous illnesses.

and LEDs do cause fires... they are made in a country that lacks safety regulations because human lives don't matter to the commies.

Weekend update...

I'm calling this beginning of flowers on the Maui and Purple Haze. Both of them are just starting to form flowers at about 10days of 11/13.

These things are beasts...

I may end up pruning them way back so they fit in a 2x2 area. The Panama has perked up a bit and starting to grow. Both it and the Thai are under 11/13 as well. I will continue to top them if/when they are healthy. It won't hurt my feelings if they don't get real big. The Thai was a bit overwatered this week. She was droopy last night but is picking up some today. Here she is:

I'm going to start at week 2 of the AN feed schedule for the 2 big girls. I'm taking a page out of ATrains feed schedule for autos to get them to grow bigger. I'm doing the opposit and adding the boosters in hopes they switch from growth to focusing on pushing flowers. I may also cut them back... Not sure yet. Peace people!

Lovely plants, seeing sativa traits. very nice!

question, why 11/13? I am going to be flipping next week to flower so I need to know if 12/12 is good enough...
I think mine is from the White Rhino strain...
is your goal to harvest the sativas earlier by dropping 1 extra hour of daylight off of the standard 12?
maybe 11/13 is not good for indicas?

I went 11/13 because they are all sativas (at least they are supposed to be). The equator sees pretty much 12/12 throughout the year. I wanted to take away any chance of flower problems. Indicas, no issue. I might even think about 13on/11off. I think that would be a call based on the light source quality and the number/size of the plants. I'm no expert... Those are just my thoughts.

Weekend update...

It's been a pretty uneventful week. That is always a good thing. I'll start with the two big ladies (PH & MW). Both are blowing and going. They are getting 1.5 oz of AN coco sensibloom A&B, 1oz AN Big Bud to about 4.5G of water. They get watered to very slight runoff every morning and are taking about 80 oz of water each daily. They will be flushed next week. Check that, they will each get 2G of their daily nutrient solution run through them. I took about 125 clones off them early in the week. I cut them and immediately let them fall to the tent floor. I gave them 3 min and none rooted so I trashed them all. Here is a shot is the tent:

The Maui Waui has pretty much "set" her flowers. The next 2 weeks when they grow is my favorite part of the grow.

image35908.jpg

The Purple Haze is taking her time. She's definitely flowering but at a much different style than I have seen before. By that I mean she's just kind of "growing" flowers". No quick burst of production. She is a 15 week strain and I'm hoping this is part of the reason why. Should be a good learning experience for me.

image35909.jpg

Next up is the Wild Thai. She hasn't been watered in 10 days and is still too moist for my comfort. That being said, she has overcome the "droop" and seems to be growing just fine. I'm debating on topping her 4 shoots again? I really don't have room for another bush in there.

image35910.jpg

The Panama is pulling through just fine. She doesn't show much in the line of sativa, but we're going to let her go and see what she does.

image35911.jpg

The 2 Solo cup plants are Afghan regulars. There is a solo cup challenge thread that was started. I tbought that would be pretty neat to try. Just shout with any questions, comments, or concerns... I'm going to work on an auto feed system this week. I'll update if I have any progress. Otherwise, we'll see ya next weekend! Peace!!!

A parting shot under full power..

Nice mix of flowers. I'm looking at thai and some other long flower strains to run with my 4 autos that I'll run every 4 weeks.

Cheers

I went in for the morning watering session and I think I decided "who" I am. I'm done vegging plants. I really appreciated my first grow having manageable plants, harvesting 1-3oz each, and the multiple varieties. the tent is locked down for next 12-15 weeks and I think I'm going to get bored. The two big ones are a function of trying to sex non feminized seeds. Strongly considering busting out an additional LED to add in there. Option 2 is another tent and spreading out the big girls a bit. They are pretty much shade trees for everyone else. There may be a BIG update later on down the road. Thanks for listening

Two tents is the only way to go IMO. I remember feeling impatient vegging when I only had one room. I also felt- worried about the health of the plants more because you only get one crack at it. I also felt like I was on a one way street with no pullouts to stop and reassess anything.
Growing perpetual I have clones and plants of all ages and the options are pretty much open. If I want to I can keep a plant stalled and vegging indefinitely. When I decide it's going to be next up, I up-pot it, maybe crank up the light a bit, get the lst looking a little more pretty, etc.
I guess I could go on and on but...I'm sure you already know this stuff. I'd never go back to a single run grow. I vote for the two tents.

Yeah.. That's likely a direction I will go. I can only have 6 adult plants so a 4x4 should do the job with a little tweaking. A second tent would allow me to do "special projects" like breeding, sexing, autos, DWC, etc.. Funny part is, I suspect in 3 months I'll be typing " I need another tent because... "

Thanks WC!

Two things :
I suggest another tent and some lights, that way I get to enjoy watching a grow, using your money!

And I'm going to nominate you for "COTM", Cloner Of The Month!

Very acute observation Spitz, also you save the energy cost of electrical by one hour per day. 12/12 is the standard but just because it is the standard does not mean it is the only choice. For example, when I finished my 1st grow I switched from 12/12 to 8/16 for the last 5 days before harvest, to push the plants into believing it was the end, hurry up do your business. Well like a dummy when I put grow #2 into flower I did not check the timer and was running 8/16 for at least 3 weeks before I noticed it. At that point I was worried that if I pushed it out to 12/12 I could freak the girls out and cause them to hermmie so I left it at 8/16 for the whole grow. When I first discovered it, I thought, man I just screwed this harvest but to be honest, I am 2 maybe 3 weeks from harvest and I am actually pretty pleased with the outcome. Much better then I was expecting. Plus my electric bill is considerably smaller this grow. Basically every 3rd day my lights run for free, compared to running 12/12. My wife likes the fact the electric bill is lower, I like the fact that my garden looks way better then I was expecting, pretty much a win/win situation. Though on my next grow I think I may bump it up to either a 12/12 or a 10/14 just so I have more time for the stretch period then drop it down.
Sorry for being so long winded, I am stoned to the bone right now:cheesygrinsmiley:Start the 2nd 1/2 of my washed verses unwashed Bud Taste Test this morning :roorrip:

Weekend update! (End of 3rd week 12/12.. End of week 2 flower for PHazw/MWaui.. Start of flower Wild Thai)

This has prett much become a 2 horse race. I have my light about as high as it goes and have started some supercropping. If I can keep the 2 big girls alive, they are going to reward highly I believe. Here is a shot of the tent:

image35969.jpg

The Maui and Haze have pretty much filled out the entire tent. By "filled out" I mean both cross sectional area as well as height. The Maui is really pushing flowers hard right now and going to fill in real nice I think. The Purple Haze is still just "growing". No sense of urgency or stress from her. She has a real "walk down and fuck them all" type of demeanor. She should be fun to watch grow up. First up is the Maui and then the PH:

image35971.jpg

The Wild Thai has just started to flower! She is really fighting for her share of light. She is also in soil which is obviously not one of my strong suits. She looks healthy though. She's either going to get her own tent or at least a booster seat in the near future.

image35972.jpg

This is the last picture of the Panama. She just isn't going to make the cut. She was stunted, flooded, under lit, and is just fighting too hard. I don't really like what she looks like either. This grow was for some true sativas. It is most likely from stress, but she has little to no resemblance to her sativa sisters. If I liked her, I'd take a clone or try to save her.
