Can anyone recommend a good water cooler for a 5 gallon resevoir?

Is 5gal just the reservoir, or is that res feeding outboard growing stations? What is your total water volume and what is the temp in your grow space?

I don't know shyt about DWC.
But isn't the reason you use a chiller is because the bubbler raises the water temp and you need to keep the temps like 67⁰ or whatever so there's more Dissolved Oxygen in the water or at least the water is able to hold more oxygen.
Or is that totally wrong?

If thats the case then why not use o2 emitters which doesn't warm the water at all and puts out more dissolved oxygen than any bubbler.

Thanks, Nunya, your response just kicked my brain in gear. I think in terms of RDWC and @West272 is likely running a single DWC. I like the idea of using O2 but won’t go down that research rabbit hole. I wonder what flow rate of O2 it would take to keep everything happy? He’d have to have an airstone that was optimized to put out micro bubbles to get good saturation. Since it’d be coming from a compressed state it’d be cold and could help lower the res temps.

The o2 emitters are actually electrolysis, it splits the H from the O²
I use it for my water for my soil grow.

This is a 420 thread from way back, 2015.. cost a few bucks, but was quite successful at keeping the temps down..

I converted an old 5 gal jug water cooler to cool my Rez. Just tore it apart and stuck the coil in the Rez and plunged it into a device to monitor the temp.
