Watering / soil problem issue need help

Hi guys , I have 5 plants and 2 of them are in 3gal smart pots
The other3 are in half gallon plastic pots and my problem is that when I'm watering the 3 gal smart pot I don't see any runoff from the bottom and I used something like 5 liters of water and didn't see any runoff
I have 40 % perlite and 60 soil
I had this issue my last grow I really need help to understand why this is happening
And to my half gallon pots I don't have this issue it's only when I'm transplanting to bigger pots

Ok my friend when watering soil, less is most definitely more. I don't know anything about the drainage on smart pots so cant really comment. In general with the amount of perlite you've used I tend to think you would just need to water more to get run off out of them. The trick is to let your girls pot dry out to promote roots searching for water. Then a real good soak, with some run off. Then wait 4-5days whatever it needs to almost go dry again.
