I think Im going to take 1oz and make butter with it and let the rest sit in a jar for a month . Im not sure if curing matters for edibles ?

As far as i know curing isnt required for edibles. I made some cannabutter that knocked me on my ass!

How much bud did you use ? I was thinking 1oz of dry buds and 1/2 oz or so of frozen trim
