Hi everyone. Long time smoker, first time grower here. Well this is it. I am tired of searching and buying pot. So I am going to invest in my own grow room. I live in a 4 bedroom single family home where the summers get hot and the winters get cold. Basically I want to share with all of you what I am doing so I can hopefully avoid any mistakes and ruin a potentially good harvest. So far I have read that attic grows are the toughest due to lack of air movement, temp differences etc. But I really have no choice in the matter. So anyways here are some pics of what I have completed so far in the construction phase.
Entrance of the grow room through an unused closet in my office on the 2nd floor. Stealthy...
This is basically where the grow room is going in. I had to make some structural modifications to the house.
More insulation...
Put in the flooring.
This is some heavy matting I put in for extra insulation and to also deaden the sound.
Straightened out the walls getting it ready for more insulation!
Extra bracing so my ceiling doesn't collapse!
Ahh now it's starting to look like a room. What do you think?
This is as far as I've gotten, this weekend I plan on finishing the electrical and hanging the drywall plus taping. I will keep you all up to date. Please let me know any thought's, concerns or advice you may have for me. Thanks.
