Bloo's First Indoor Grow - In Progress - 2012

would you say average 28-30(82F-86F) degrees Celsius is too hot? with a peak of maybe 34-35(95F) deg c?

As you would probably know we've had some blinders of late, outside temp of 42 deg c (107F) on Friday/Saturday just gone, with similar temps previous weekend, inside would have peaked around 38-39C(102F) on those days even with the house closed up and blinds all drawn, so there have been some crispy days

I'm a bit worried about the effect on the potency, we are forecast another couple of scorchers this week, with strong westerly winds, which make it like opening a fan forced oven @ 200C(390F) in your face.. Awesome

I've been giving them a bit of open door time to circulate the air thru and lower the temp on these hot days, knocks the temps down by 2-3 degrees after an hour or so

I'm not too worried as these are Aussie strains, and have been grown outdoors in these sort of conditions for a while, the lady I got this bag seed off has been growing this stuff for around 15-20 years, so I'd say its adapted to our climate fairly well, I mean I'm not even getting much leaf curl on the hot days, granted I keep the water up to em, but I would still expect the plant to show these signs if they were struggling with the heat

Yep might be resistent to heat but i would still be surprised if it could do its best work while under those conditions. But shit mate nothing you can do without getting aircon and all the good stuff so try it and if needs be you grow the rest of the year and dont worry about it in summer. Or grow outdoors.

45degC out side, hot bushfire fueled westerly blowing, feels like a dry 50.. 36 in the cupboard with the aircon trying its hardest to reach the room.. not a good day.. wheres the obligatory summer thunderstorm!!

could be worse tho, I could be at work hah :D

Might have some issues arising, I noticed the other day while musing over the girls, that one of the plants is getting one or two leaves at a time turning yellow and dieing, this happens over around 24-36 hours, I also have noticed the leaves curling a fair bit, wondering if this could be due to over watering (I think this as I've had it on a drip feed since day 1, got it draining now with no water to plants for next day or so) or possibly even the result of root rot or being root bound as there are 2 plants in this tiny pot, the plants still look really healthy, but don't want to wake up one morning to find the problem has caused major damage, as we only have about 3 weeks left or so

Take a look, first lot of pics are progress, last 4 are showing the issue, I might be splitting hairs, but it seems fairly regular, 2-3 leaves daily, and that's what has me worried

These leaves marked in red are whats going on, over about 36 hours leaves will go from being nice and green to yellow and easily plucked off, only on one plant, the other is fine at the moment, this is happening on the bigger of the 2

so am I stressing over nothing, or do I have a possible issue, as I said, I've stopped watering to let it dry out a bit, and it is very difficult to get anything into the medium, which doesn't surprise me, I kinda knew I might have root issues putting 2 plants in same pot, but not having fem beans or a mum to clone from, I didn't have much choice..

everything else is solid. PPM 1500, pH 5.8 (have been watching this like a hawk, apparently pH turns more acidic with root rot, haven't seen it move yet), Temps have been a big problem, referring to my last post.. 36 was not the high for that day.. she had a lot more to throw at us.. maxed out at 42 in the room, with absolutely NO hope of cooling it.. we have an uninsulated enclosed back patio with a tin roof, 45 degree day and a hot westerly wind do not make this the sort of place you want to be.. this joins onto my grow area.. happy days.. but I'll soldier on.. going to be interesting during winter.. my PC room barely breaks 15 deg c in them months, hopefully the gas hot water system will be the saving grace..

wow.. just looked up and realised I've been pissin on for ages..

on a side note.. scored some white rhino from my old housemates new housemate.. well... I haven't been that stoned in a looooong time.. missus was trying to have a convo with me and it just wasn't happening lol, and slept like a log.. so the rhino has made my wishlist when I decide to make an order from herbies :D

To all my Aussie brethren.. Have a mad Aussie Day.. enjoy it and celebrate this awesome country we so are privileged to live in!!

pissing down rain, so I thought I'd share some bud porn, enjoy

If anyone has any ideas on what strains either of these might be

Plant 1 - Lighter more vibrant green colour, citrusy smell, shorter of the 2, heads seem to be filling out a bit more on this one

g2-28-01-13l.jpg

Plant 2 - Real earthy army green, went thru big stretch, very lanky, not much smell, aniseed if any when lightly squeezed

I don't have prizes, but I do have reps for any insight :D
