Veg Week #4 (28 days from seed)

First day of week 4, always something new, a challenge to overcome, welcome to the growers life! :)

I tried Jack's 321 nutrients for seedlings and just couldn't get the right combo of EC and nute strength. I went back to my tried and true General Hydroponics Flora line.

Oddly, one of the four plants almost died in one day, like a catastrophic root death or something I'm not sure about. It's going to survive, barely!

Lots of variation eh? Always amazed at this plant. For the last few grows the largest yield came from the fastest growing... I always get that one leggy sibling! :)

Except for the little one, which I'll give another week in the solo cup, time to repot into 5 gallon pots, roots are on point! Been feeding at noon/6pm/midnight until some runoff at .9 EC

They were topped above node 4, kept nodes 3 and 4. Of the 4 branches now growing, two more nodes will be grown on each, then topped, for 16 total branches for each plant. This will be one less topping compared to past grows, hoping for 5 weeks of veg instead of my usual 6.

Flower Week #1 (62 days from seed)

The little runt didn't make it, so we have 3 plants going into flower instead of 4. The big sister is in the back and can spread out a bit more. Everything going smooth!

Flower Week #3 (76 days from seed)

Things are going well with the Blueberry Muffin girls. The big sis in the back is very tall and skinny, trying to keep her down a bit so not to crowd the light.

Because the branch count is lower than planned, the buds will be BIG. Extra care is in order to avoid bud rot, maybe a trim and extra airflow will be in order during late flower, to be safe. I'll also trim the buds off the branches at harvest instead of after drying, another way to avoid issues.

Notice the small bulb hanging, which is a 23 watt UV A/B bulb on a 4 hour per day timer, the same kind used in reptile enclosures. It's supposed to help mimic the sun, bring out more color, etc. It's basically a tanning bulb for the plant. :)

PEAK!! Buds are looking so good. First time using a PK boost amendment, called Flower Fuel, in weeks 3-5 of flower.

Flower Week #6 (95 days from seed)

Prettiest flower I've ever seen!

The top buds on all three plants are cloudy with some amber, a bit early! I'll probably harvest the top half a week from now (January 26) and the rest a week later. With 5 day dry and 2 weeks cure that means I can release around February 14.

Happy Valentines! :)

Harvest #1 (104 days from seed)

Trichomes were mostly cloudy and some amber so chopped the top half, will chop the rest next week. Only one of the three plants is yielding anything decent, but WOW what fire it is!
