Candy cane growing out of control!

Can someone help meI've been growing CK candy cane since the end of may...the plant is now 8 feet tall and hasn't yet started to flower, I'm growing outside in compost I've been composting for 12yrs now...the last two weeks its been growing a foot a week....is it supposed to get this tall? Shouldn't it have flowered by now?

hows the weather for you? as in, do you get a long growing season?

oh, and the tiny bit of info I do have......it's your compost. its too damned good. lol

I've seen stuff grow out of compost that just makes you shake yer head.

i posted my first pic ever and easiest way is to download pic to your document file on computer and then go to gallery in the info bar above and upload the pic...very simple and easy to do.

It will flower when it thinks it is approaching fall, when the hours of daylight get to about 14 or less. Is the height a security risk for you? You can bend it and tie it down if necessary.

This is an auto flower .....it was supposed to be only 2 to 3 feet tall ....the plant was supposed to flower without worrying about dark or light.....
