Who else thinks pathogens get in through the aquarium air pump.... Mmm I wonder whether a power head shucking air from inside the res be better, although that will deplete the oxygen to? I haven't added it yet, what the recommended time to run UV eg 1 hour every 6 ? Thoughts?

I think I'm going to can the external air pump and just add a little power head with a short hose that doesn't go outside the res better than nothing and will not introduce external pathogens... I reckon I've had this issue with RDWC before yeh had a huge air stone driven by 4 outlet pump, had problems hence the UV light, I can't remember if it works because was packed up not long after it was introduced, but yeh I think I'm onto something here, don't pump air from outside into your res if you don't have to?

Ok now we talking....😎😎
Auto watering..
Undergrowth trimmed..
Screen pulled and tied down...
Plant tied and son high stress training....
Excess branches removed...
First screen set....
Top screen be elastic,👍
UV sterilizer set every 12 hours to run one hour...
Heater in res to keep stable 20c as it's going into winter.
No air pump attach as waiting on power head, so we'll have internal air collection no outside air unless open lid obviously..
Filter in res,
Main irrigation pump 3500 lph
Running 3 X 6" halo run at full pressure one minute, perfect amount 😁
Mmmm brilliant very happy with results.
Thankfully now I can leave for a few days at a time, my wife very sick in hospital so a god send to finally get it fully automated 👍🙏😎

Yeh just a little cloudy in res so UV on now 24/7, Inline UV and one small UV inside res one that shines in there hopefully stop everything ever starting, looking like clearly up after few hours was just slightly off so nothing major, still had to feed them it... Monitor and see

Ok running this UV 24/7 is too much😜😂 25c res water mmm so run every 2 hours for an hour see how that goes, the res only running between 45 to 20 litre so it's a 32w jebo inline UV sterilizer it must be producing some heat .... This grow is all trial and error.. this should be a good grow journal 👍

Right some more trimming and high stress training, thats all now another week or two untill full recovered and it's got really good leaf cover especially the larger ones as I just chopped heaps off probably half of the foliage but it was required to shape it and bend and tie it down ect then I can turn it and low stress training into the elastic top screen 👍

This is a gutted carbon filter it's empty inside just retains the outa paper and the filter mat, working beautiful great flow rate👍 clean out filter once every couple months and just brush the paper one off when the outa ( white cotton filter) if off getting cleaned

Thease @ViparSpectra are looking good, the xs2500 twin panel is producing a more yellow light that the the xs2000 although the xs 2000 has more powerful light output, I'm running it just a little higher it seems there's about 8 cm different between the 2 in the recommended running hight, so approximately I run the xs2000 a little higher 👍 I guess 😜
Also got the v1000 for cloner nice little light to
Day one for the @ViparSpectra set after removing the single 320w I use for early veg

Yeh well I had to ad external air pump anyways so scratch that but yes of course you may introduce shit but UV will eat I guess 😂 yeh and run UV every 2 hours for an hour, now crystal clear water in res and hovering around 900 ppm to so allgood
