Depending on where your strain is coming from the required moles per day will differ, a strain from Africa may require 65 moles per day, while a strain from Denmark may have a requirement of 30 moles per day. Hybrid stains may have different requirements based on which phenotype is dominant in the strain.

As an example during vegetative growth for a strain where the natural habitat would be 60 moles per day.
1 day = 18 hours
1 hour = 3600 seconds
1 mole = 1x10^6 micro moles

The formula to work out DLI is:
60 moles per m2 per day.
60x1x10^6 divided by (18 x 3600)
which = 925.9 micro moles per meter squared
or a ppfd of 925.9
