Its a very fragile piece thats pretty sturdy! I kinda prefer it more then my bong.... bong has to big of a rip for my lungs. Still needs a name! Haha our bong is called Watson haha

I do too, I'm using a 30x-60x loupe and it does what I need it to do.

depends on the strain... some stay white... and some turn weeks before it is actually ready. You can not judge anything really by the pistils.

Thats fair when i get further along ill keep checking..... can i determine cloudy trichs on the fan leaves instead of cutting a chunk of bud? Dumb questions.... i just have no clue.

Just go by trichs, some Sativas continue pushing out white pistils until the die.

I go by the calyx (flower) you don't need a big sample, just a small snip will tell you what you need to know.

my eyes aren't that good either... so I like the large loupes you can now get on ebay or the macro mode on my camera... both get in there very well so I can see trichomes. Anything I have to cut off to examine is called a test bud... and trust me, its not wasted.

I had to google image.... such a newb lmao so one of the bulb looking things is a calyx.

Yes, a calyx will have 2 pistils growing from the tip.

I have this carson i guess ill cut tiny piece once and awhile to check. I wanted the loupe so i didnt have to touch the plant but my blind ass has no choice i guess

Growing well i see. I just skimmed thru but im pullin up a seat lookin fwd to how this grow plays out. Very inspirational my autos are on day 16. I just ordered a usb microscope hoping to post some canna porn when the girls start to flower.
