Yeah we are always monitoring the temps trying to keep them ideal even if we gotta lower the intake fan or the exhaust fan, once the summer comes the humidity wont be a problem its always so humid in New england ,the box is currently in my room and with the window we added on the door its no hassle to check on them, but yeah i put the 3 newest plants back in the humidity domes so they will open up, and i got the 2 autos uncovered centered with the lights going to look into finding a small humidifier on amazon, and both my 250 watt 6400k grow lights should be here tomorow so excited about that

Hello so today marks 1 week since i started my first grow all 5 of my seeds have sprouted and are looking beautifull .

So i got my 2x 250 watt CFL grow lights installed both of those in the box.
Added a 2nd ventilation fan sucking out because the temperature started going too high with the new bulbs.
Also added a new fan to help with the temp and keep the plants moving slightly in the breeze.
We measured the distance from the plants to the bulbs at 5 inches, do these look like they are stretching or is that just how the growth should look and how long roughly till i start seeing some new leaves/growth?I also noticed some of the smaller leafs(the first 2 that appeared) at times are curling slightly down what would cause this?Any tips or feedback is greatly appreciated .

Thc Bomb on the left Thc Bomb on the right and the Money Maker in the middle, not sure why the money maker is so bent like that we re-aranged them and spun them , they are all evenly under the light hopefully its not a problem and this grows back evenly.

Looking good bud. CFLS give off more use able light if they are sideways. If there is anyway you can get them that way you would have better results with them. The money maker could be leaning towards the light on the right. Just a thought. Maybe she came out of the ground all wonky. Either way she will work herself out.

Hey nismo thanks for the feedback, we are planning on putting the lights sideways we are just waiting to purchase a better reflector so we can mount them sideways, and also waiting for the plants to get a little bit bigger because if we tried to mount them sideways right now without the reflector we would have to move the plants way up to get to the light and its bad enough we did the work during its 18 hour light cycle ( we have it running 18/6 it goes off at 1:00 am my time and my father turns it back on at 7:00 am) its just too impracticle to do any work we need to do on her at 1 am wen she goes dark hehe, does the distance from the plants to the light seem ok? we measured them at 5 inches and i dont think they are putting out too much heat for the plants i can place my hand under it with no discomfort, also how long roughly till you start devloping new leaves?Oh and also the money maker is directly under the light shes the 1 in the middle so hopefully she will start to straighten out.

5" away seems like a good distance. We have some 300 watts CFLS and had them 6" away. Oh and you might want to invest in a simple timer so you aren't having to do it manually.

I actualy do have a simple timer its non digital i just havent gotten around to figure out how to use it lol, im always awake at the time they go off and my father turns them on before work, but yeah i want to get a digital one to make it automated.

A cola can or foil tray will work for a reflector untill you get one.
I also found mine much much better sideways with a home made reflector.
Heres a cfl reflector im making at the moment. But this will house 4 cfls.

Sheet metal. Thread bar. Nuts n washers. E27 light fittings. Can also add fan to reflector if u like.

Is that cfl dual spectrum cause I have those lights comes with 2 bulbs one for veg one for flower ?

My cfls are not dual spectrum they are my veg lights, i will be buying 2x of these 2700ks for flowering, and i bought each of them individually it was like $42 each from amazon

That reflector is pretty awesome racer, ive had a few home made ones so far but nothing special, and my grow lights might not look as big in the pictures but they are huge and fat so i plan to just get these reflectors with a balast type thing off amazon like $24 each and they will hang/be adjustable from the ceiling.

and on that note the new leafs doubled in size overnight without the lights on, will these bottom leaves fall off?

Hello Heres a small update!
I turned my bulbs sideways (the correct way) after some great info from nismo,since i have turned the lights sideways i have seen a huge increase in growt , got them hanging with a sting like wire for now,One of my brand new 250 watt bulbs popped randomly half of the light stopped working, luckily amazon is awesome and shipped me out a replacement that day it should arrive monday,
ordering my reflector 4x more pc fans to replace the ones in there for better airflow,a 2700k 250 watt bulb,and im going to order the nutrients i will be using for the rest of the grow for feedings, since i am using fox farm it recommends to use big bloom tigerblood and grow big, but i have seen alot of people using General Hydroponics FloraGrow does anyone have any good recommendations on wich of these 2 i should choose? I am using fox farm ocean forrest soil.

Also is it true that i should start feeding them after about 4 weeks? I have read that in multiple places but theres so much information saying all different things its hard to decide so ill stick to the great feedback i get here!

The BubbleGum+ Auto and the Vast and Fast Auto are starting to grow pretty fast they are growing whole leaf sets in half a day, i check them in the morning the leafs are so tiny then i wake up and bam its huge

And these are the 2 THC Bombs and the Money Maker, they are working on their 2nd set of leaves!

Ok mate. Start nutes as you see your first true leaves. Meaning your first 5 pointed leaves. Sprouts are to young for nutes.

bump, not sure wich nutes to buy between fox farm or general hydroponic flora(just so i have them for later), im using fox farm of soil so it would make sense to stick with the same brand i guess?

Day 14 from germination:
So i recieved my replacement bulb and installed that so back up to 500 watts!
The thc bombs are 2 days behind the BubbleGum auto and the Vast and fast auto and they are catching up to them in size pretty quickly!
One of the thc bombs was a little limp for the first week but she fixed her self and looks healthy
The money maker looks like a nice little plant its still seems tiny tho
Been watering them every 3 days give or take

Wondering when i should transplant the thc bombs and the money maker to their pots like the autos.

Having some temperature issues lately 1 minute it would be 86 then the next its 80 we try to monitor it and keep it around 83 84 but it changes, and during the dark cycle it usualy hits about 75 but has at times hit its lowest at 72,can the sudden temp changes from say 86 to 80 cause problems with the plants?They seem to be healthy and growing fast but maybe im wrong xD

Hello today is day 21 heres a quick update!
Got my reflectors from amazon and a new 2700k bulb installed into the box now have 750 watts of cfl at 32,000 lumens (500 6400k and 250 2700k) for 5 square feet!

The plants are starting to get big the fast and vast auto and the bubble gum are the biggest of the 5!
The plants started producing a skunky smell inside the box its not super strong but definatly noticeable, is it normal that they are starting to smell during veg?
The autos say they will go from germination to harvest in 2 months,we are on day 21 should i expect them to start flowering soon?
We also topped the 2 autos and it seems to have been succesfull we have 2 new nodes growing pretty rapidly.

Hello todays day 28 they are getting big!
So today is day 28 and they are starting to get big the tallest one is over 6 inches, but these are meant to be bushy strains wich they definatly are filling out!
We have topped them all and gotten a good amount of upward growth now.
We also took a few clones off of the thc bombs, and we took some off the fast and vast(auto) as a test, people say that it will stay on the same life cycle so even if it stays smaller and still yields it would be worth the test.
Tied up the fast and vast to spread her out for the light this is supposed to be a 2 month plant is she flowering?Some of these hairs are white in the light if someone could tell me if shes flowering?

Hello Day 35(i think)
So the plants where getting really bushy we decided to clean them up a bit get rid of the bottom stuff that wasnt getting any light,
made some decent size clones off each of the thc bombs and the moneymaker hopefully all goes well with those!
Ordered my nutrients should be here anyday will start feeding them soon, its been a little over a month noticing small yellowing and slight orange spots on a leaf or 2.

The fast and vast auto is definatly flowering the hairs are getting long and white starting to look like tiny meatballs and theres tons of them!

The bubblegum auto should start flowering anytime now she looks like the fast and fast except the hairs havent turned white yet!

The 2 thc bombs are definatly the biggest plants out of them all (or at least they appeared to be before we cleaned them up lol) we are going to wait about another week and then start flowering both thc bombs and the money maker after their first feeding.

We also took a clone off the fast and vast auto right before she started flowering just as a test to see what would happen, i read that it would continue on the life cycle and thats exactly what she did it seems to be alive and has a bud forming right in the center would be awesome if she grew into just 1 big cola!
