Thanks Lady! I'll post some pics tomorrow. Some of the buds are starting to turn purple on me! Oh yeah!!! Yeah Chief, it's a good feeling for sho! Question... I'm trying to figure out where and how I'm gonna dry these buds. Has anyone every tried the paper bag method?
Here goes some new pics of my clones. I guess this would be the beginning of my second grow. I have them under two t5's in a 2x2 closet space. As of new they are in lil startup pots, but I'll transfer them to three gallons for some vegging under a 400 watt hps for a week, but I start flowering again. I used this organic potting soil by Miracle Grow (which claimed to require no feeding for 2 months), but evidently it is short on the Mg and Cal, so I had to supplement with MagiCal. I did this today, so hopefully by tomorrow, the signs of def will clear up.
Nice clones. The calmag supplements will not clear up the deficiency they just stop occurring. Once damage is done the leaf have the scar...they do look healthy, keep up the good work.
Thanks 12. I tested ph of the soil and it was around 5.0. So, I figured the soil I brought from HomeDepot was prolly for Acidic plants. So, I re-transplanted them into some good old Basement Mix. After the transplant my PPMs where about 600 on the DQ and 800 on the SG. I'll check PPM's of soil tonight and if it's in the 200's I'll go ahead and feed.
Harvested Yesterday! A good friend and I cut the fan leaves, but left the ones with the crystals on. We'll go back and get those next week. I used a GRO drying rack, and I've filled up six trays with fresh buds and a paper bag with a mystery plant, that wasn't the same as the others. (Mystery Clone). The closet I'm drying in has a fan at the top blowing indirectly on the buds. The humidity ranges from 50 to 58% and the temps range from 72-75 degrees. The Overall I'm happy, and can't wait till it dries up some.
Okay... The final dried weight is ll ounces all together. 3.5 form the Grape Apes and about 8 from the purp kush. I've been smoking off the left over shake, but I've tried the grapes out the jar and it's some fire green! Just tried the kush while writing this post. I should have let them stay for another week before I cut them, but hey you live and learn. People that have got some from me were happy. I'll post pics very soon.
This is a personal preference thing I suppose but I'd steer clear of soils with any claims of time release fertilizer like miracle grow. I think you'd be better off using something very neutral like the Fox Farm Happy Frog mix and feeding manually with something like BPN. That way you have a lot more control over what your plants are getting in what dosages at different stages. It also helps to have something specifically tailored to cannabis where as miracle grow is marketed towards a much broader spectrum of plants.
