First Indoor Grow

What's up everyone

I write this as the sunsets on a successful day. Gym , collage(university), work, and finally some time to do some work on my baby. I've named her a Swazi Stain! Haha

Watered her with a mix last night and a bit today. Getting super impatient now but love the feeling of growing something so nice and from seed and basically on my own. (But i have enjoyed the knowledge I have aquire'd along this way) so much so.

I started an indoor grow today. So please do send I your comments and tips and hints. I have no fan and it's in a closed closet under 3 80w CFL bulbs! Very close to the seedlings. And in a potting mix with some bone meal and 40% nitrogen fertilizer.

How long must/can they be on 24hour light?
When should I repot?
And what can I do about ventilation and smell?

ALL TIPS, HINTS, COMMENTS WELCOME!

Re: #1 indoor grow

Tomorrow will be a week since my babies went into their new indoor grow room. I have put a fan in the room and it is going 24hr.

The plants suffered a bit from nute burn or over watering. (Leaf stayed green but curled into it self) but they are long good and have all been topped once! Think their growth might have been stunted a bit by lack of air circulation. But think the will bounce back.

Any tips and hints will be appreciated.

Some questions

How many plants can I grow in this size room (3mx1x2.5m)?
I only have these CFL and if I move the plants off the shelf they are on do I need to by more lights?

This is a very chilled grow. I'm doing this to break even on what I've spent ($75 converted from my curency) and just because when I started growing my first plant out doors I feel in love with growing. Only +- a month out from my first ever harvest!

Anyway let me know what you think and give me feed back!

Been almost 3 weeks since these babies got moved in under 24hr light! Been a tough last week as we found spider mites on the plants and had to deal with that ASAP!

AND looks like we might have won. But will have to be very vigilant now as we can't afford to have them when we switch to flower. Any tips and help with regards to the prevention and removal of spider mites will be greatly appreciated!

Anyway here is some pics of these gorgeous girls. They are looking good. Gave them a mix of worm juices and water tonight. Also gave it some Bulb fertiliser that I'm using for my flowering out door plant. They really liked it.

I was a bit tipsy and ended up breaking a stem. But fixed it with tape. Hope it works.

Just checked it and it doesn't seem like it worked

So the babies are looking so good! Even the branch I half snapped off and looked dead and gone grew back and the break has helped with some LST! Weed is such a strong plant!!

It has been over 3 weeks (23 days) in veg under 24hr light! Think I will go into flower in 5 day. What do you guys/girls think?

And I need to get rid of 2 plants as I don't think I will have enough space to grow all 5? How do I pick the best plants? And when can I tell which are male and which are female?

Can anyone help with with what is wrong here?

I'm am currently only running on 3 CFL bulbs! Think it's 15W=80W. My question is do I have to add more lights for flower? And if so, how many more do I need? And I heard that I should also use the warm CFL bulbs?

Otherwise here are some pics! Hope you folks enjoy!

Could be light burn, nitrogen toxicity or magnesium deficiency. Check that your light are not too close burning the plants. It might be nitrogen deficiency since your leaves are yellowing and the tips of some other leaves are pointing down. Not really recommended to give flowering nutrient to veg and vice versa. The Nutrient type are not the same. Giving Veg nutrients at flowering stage often creates toxicity. Monitor for Magnesium deficiency if you see the yellowing spreading between the veins. I think at this stage of the growth is simply the lights. My 2 cents...
