Outdoors it all depends on the amount of light they receive per day to initiate flowering. But once a plant reaches a certain age it will show its sex when it’s mature enough but it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s in the flowering stage.

Yeah she is for sure and I wasn’t trying to argue your comment :passitleft:
A mature female plant can show pistols and alternating nodes even before she is under 12/12 light . I’m not sure of the growers latitude so I can’t really say if she’s flowering or just mature enough to start flower.

Days are starting to get shorter

First year growing so just was wondering if she is or not... and if not, what are some of the signs we can look out for

You keep an eye out for pistils. Your a couple hours off 12/12 so it’s getting close. You can trigger flower earlier by tarping them off and putting them in complete darkness to get the ball rolling. If you can’t achieve a way to make it completely dark then no sense in trying. It’s gotta be 100% dark.

Yeah keep an eye out for pistils, that’s usually a sure sign that it’s flowering. It looks like you have some being pushed out, so it looks like the ball is already rolling even though you don’t have a true 12/12 yet. :thumb:

yes they are starting to flower . Out doors they will start before 12/12 ..12/12 is an indoor guide . Im going to be using a 11/13 light cycle this round indoors and it should shorten my flowering time by a week or so .

Outdoors diff strains respond diff anywhere from 14 to 12hrs of light will trigger bloom outdoors. I have 4 plants outside 3 diff strains and no 2 are in sync all diff stages of flower ones a few weeks ahead of the latest one.

Yeah, we have 2,000 outdoor plants and about half of our crop seems to look like it’s starting to flower.

Our strains are Cherry Blossom & Stormy
