Full spectrum vs blue for vegetative growth

I’m using a 1200 watt LED with veg and bloom switches, however I’ve been reading that people prefer full spectrum for veg and flower, and it may increase yield, anyone got experience doing both ways?

Seedlings blue, veg full, flower to week 6-8 full, finish with blue...

still unsure about this one, first grow using leds. like the idea of more light but I am also concerned about the blue making my girls think its still summer, just added my 400w hps to the red and it seems great

I know I can’t increase yield in veg, I’m only planning on going 4 weeks if I can get the growth I want, I’ll flip them then, if not I’ll wait, but I was also reading that I can run full spectrum until the last two weeks of flower to speed things along

Beyond the seedling/clone stage you want as much light as possible, especially when growing light hungry short-day plants like Cannabis.
If you use less light in veg, you'll just have to veg for longer to get the same results as you would have gotten with more light.

I'm using a 1500w with no veg / bloom switch. i started with an 1200w with both switches but everything i read online said to just use both on. I picked up 2 45w led lights for seedlings and clones. the seedlings i started under them had amazing root growth right away. so i'm using them along side my big light just because i feel like the 45w lights must have more of a certain colour in them. they give off a lot darker purple that the big lights. no clue if i'm just wasting power or not.

Thanks for the input, I did switch the bloom light on last night, and I saw a growth jump, second node pushing up, 3rd fingers developing and spreading out, everything looked especially happy this morning, my dark cycle is from 7am-1pm so I’m chomping at the bit for the lights to come back on and get some new pics, I’m only watering every 3-4 days, my pots look very dry on top, but when I stick my finger in to the first knuckle I feel moisture, I still mist them when the humidity is below my liking, and I’m giving the 7 gallon pots a quart of water, poured around the middle to outside of the pot to avoid suffocating the little girls, and 10-16 ounces of water in the smaller pots, depending on how they feel, I did lose 1 to overwatering, and I pulled one that I believe was possibly male, stem was very very red, and I’m looking at cutting down to maybe 9 plants, and trying to top and train, I’m only in a 4x4 tent so space is going to be a major concern, I am going to set up scrog, one trellis with 6” squares, about 12-14 inches above whatever final pots I use, and a second with 3 1/2” squares another 12-14” above that, I’m hoping that will be sufficient, as I understand blue dream is known to triple its height in flower, the seed I got is blue dream x lemon haze, so I’m not sure what characteristics it will take on, but I’m trying to get my research done beforehand so I’m prepared, this will be my first successful indoor grow if all goes to plan

would it be too much to use a 1500 and 1200w LED at the same time? all the plants have at least 4 sets of leaves.

10 days under the lights

Super happy right now ph at 7 in every pot, won’t be able to get the screen in to get them off the floor until Saturday, which is day 15 under the lights, running 1200 watts 30” above the plants, everything looking great, hard to believe these were seeds two weeks ago

Um,you're ph is too high dude.
It should be between 5.5 and 6.5.

I did read that blue dream likes it between 6.0 and 7.0, I’m in pots no hydro, also, my wife has the car, so I’m stuck until later

flowered it at 20 inches - got a 7.5 foot plant !!!!!!!!!!!!!! ph 6.0-7.0 Hope your "space" can handle it because of height High Yields !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Full spectrum all the way you can all ways compliment your light by hanging some single "blue" bulbs

I do too, I have 13 in the 4x4 currently, however I don’t know if I have any males so I’m waiting for sex to show them I’m going to pull whatever I don’t keep, want to keep at least 6 females, I will be topping and setting up sog screens, going to be a lot of training but hope to see some real results, probably going to get another tent in the meantime to mother from, if I do it before I put these into flower I will keep one in there to clone from, the females that don’t make the cut will get new homes with friends that grow, no way I let them go to waste, I’ve worked way too hard

And I am a hair under 7 on the ph, have to get a digital meter though, this analog shit is for the birds man
