Grow Journal & Smoke Reports

....Lavender...
After hang-drying for about a week, I manicured the buds and put them in a
paper bag to dry a few more days. Then I will cure start curing them.
I'll wait to do a smoke report after about a week cure. It does smell very nice and it's
really sticky, too. Lots of nice orange hairs and frostiness to compliment.
Has anyone tried this strain before?
Peace.

Soma Seeds "Lavender" Smoke Report:

Soma #10 brings together a world of weed. Strains with histories that traverse Afghanistan, Hawaii, Korea, the U.S, and Europe are all melded together in this 3-way cross. An exotic looking strain, Soma #10 develops the darkest purple coloration you can imagine. The color is intense, with the leaves turning nearly to black at the ends, they are so deeply saturated with color. The extra dense buds give off a sensually spicy smell akin to Afghani hash. The high calyx to leaf ratio and the legginess of this plant make for simplified manicuring. While not as tall as the Haze strains, Soma #10 can shoot to tall heights when allowed an extended vegetation period before being placed into the flowering phase. If grown in a sea of green, Soma recommends a shortening the veg cycle in order to control the height.

This strain will also do well as a multi-branched plant. Outdoors, this variety can thrive in a most temperate zones, although arid climates known for their rich agricultural promise are of course optimal. Soma #10 has a flavor that is similar to Afghani hash, producing a captivating high that circulates through every chakra.
A terrific evening or rainy day smoke, Soma #10 will leave you feeling relaxed and mellow, possibly to the point of sleep

Chopped her at 72 days. Could have went longer and next time I will.
Hung/bag dried for over a week then put in jars to cure. (Curing over a week now)
She will stretch..!

She taste's fantastic. Her taste is her best attribute, IMO.
This is like the perfect evening smoke. The rich lavender flavor
dominates and is followed closely by spice and skunk. It screams 'sensual' and 'erotic'... I bet the ladies would like this one.

The high is mostly indica (which is what I was looking for) but I have also found that
it can lead to bouts of laughter and stupid giddiness. So you can definitely expect
a great indica buzz with some trippy sativa fun.

Vaporizing this stuff is grrreat. The lavender fills your mouth so richly that one may
even have an orgasm.

HEeeelllllloooo Friends!

So sorry I've been absent. Life keeps moving me around a bit...
This grow room was successfully neutralized since my job likes to move me around a bit.

BUT cannabis is what I use to treat my ulcerative colitis so the grow show must go on!...at a time yet to be...um...well....it'll happen soon!

And I see some people have took interest in the grow!

Some of my cannabis has now been cured well over 6 months.

For instance, Soma's lavender, after a 6 month cure is just marvelous. That lovely lavender essence always has me coming back for more.

Also, I've been medicating with these strains for well over 4 months now and can come to some pretty concrete conclusions on what to expect to feel when I inhale..

Lavender...well...the term 'delightful' comes to mind. That is, however, for only about the first 10 minutes or so before I start getting slightly lazy, a little bit dumber and quite a bit intellectual. Too much and it starts getting trippy for me. Hard to explain. Spiritual, yes. The taste is so good. And I know I can find a better pheno.

Nirvana's AI is GREAT for pain. And sleep. And nausea. And stomach upset, ect...
And man it seriously calms the nerves, mind and all that is around. The taste is not so much fruity as it earthy and hashy with a tint of Robitussin infused berry. Highly recommend this strain. However, I have also grown Nirvana White Rhino and find the rhino superior for sleep, appetite and IBD. It seemed to help the most with the colitis.

The Angel Dust has been a great daytime and evening smoke. I find it a bit too strong to keep me sharp for work but it'd doable. It's a great after work smoke as it rev's up the appetite without making me too stupid and tired. I know better pheno's are out there so I can't wait to see what surprises I get!

The Nirvana White Widow I grew was interesting because it was such a great plant to grow but the smoke just doesn't turn me on. It makes my head pound a little too much and stupifies the hell out of me. I have the IQ of a newborn baby when I smoke this stuff. Perhaps if I harvested it earlier? Hell maybe the stupifying effect is common with WW? Idk.

I grew Purple Wreck in soil and then grew 6 clones in a DWC homemade system. I have always wanted to do this for the sole reason of comparing taste differences, bag appeal...ect.. (hydro vs. soil kinda thing)
They have both been curing now over 4 months and can say with no doubt that the Wrecks grown in soil have much better flavor and smell while the hydro buds are much harder with huge calyxes and tons of the 'sugar.' I look forward to experimenting more with this.

Thats a basic summary of the strains but Im sure I can provide more info! Love helping if I can!!
I'll get some pics up of the Purple Wreck hydro and soil buds so you can see the differences!

Peace.

Hello, Arising Green. Thanks for returning to your journal to post in response to the recent interest in it!

Wish I had my better camera. Sorry....but I guess it's better than nothing..

Peace:rollit:

Thanks for the coming back with the pics and reports!

Is the Purple Wreck still treating you right???

Any additional smoking analysis after another couple grows/longer cure?

All your results look amazing! Will you be back with another Grow journal?

No Problem Mr Botwin!

The Purple Wreck is treating me real good :) It is my daytime smoke.
1 small hit and my appetite is 'stimulated' most of the day and doesn't make stupid. I believe its 40% sativa so it actually keeps me up if I smoke before bed. Powerful stuff. Gotta keep the eye drops nearby ;)
Highly recommend this strain.

I will never stop growing..:) So I'll be back with most of these strains and of course I'll be seeking out new strains as well! Until then I'll keep learning and preparing...

peace
