Hello all Im finally starting my first grow

Sup bro,

I was just skimming through ur journal and I have a ????.

1. How long have you been flowering for?
Normally MJ plant bud for between 8 and 10 weeks some strains have longer flowering times. Hope this will help you know when to harvest.

Looks like she's pretty healthy. I dont mess with a PH meter or care about the ppm. I just water them as needed and add my nutes every week.

She's about 6 weeks three days in flower now.
So another 2 weeks or so?
Majority of pistils still white, every bud has 1 or 2 stray brown pistils.
Should I start the 2 week before harvest flush, or wait till most of the pistils turn brown?
Buying a magnifying glass soon for trichomes.
Is it too early to sample a small bud?

Sup bro. Does that include the 2 weeks for sexing? If you did not figure in that time ur really at about 4 weeks into floweriing. I would give them atleast 3 more weeks they really start to fatten up the last couple weeks I do believe. If most of the pistols are still white let it grow untill the majority of them are red/brown. I never used a magifying glass but I have read and heard people say wait until 90% of the trichomes are an amber color I do believe. Some1 please correct me if I'm wrong. If you want to try a lil bud it wont hurt the plant {that's just my opinion}.

This is my 1st grow and just my two cents.

Sexing is the time is takes for the white pistols to start to appear..Mine started to show pistols about 9 days after I switched the light to 12/12.. Does that help at all?

I think it's harvest time.
I have a minimum of 70% red/brown pistils,
all the buds did that final swell I read about,
but I need help to be sure.
Her last watering was plain water.
I know flush for the last 2 weeks but if I go 1 more week
will that put me past the window of peak maturity?
Any and all help welcome pics up next lots of them
So you get an idea of size and over all stage in life cycle.

Well all it's been a fun ride.

Harvest day was on the 20th. I pulled the trigger cause white pistils were no where to be found.

Interesting things about this grow:

Trish never smelled not whisk whiff faint hint of, nothing!
Now in glass jars she smells green I guess with a sweet tinge.
Hard to explain.
Buds not as dense bit popcorn like. (quick dry buds)

Things I would change:

I would wait a couple more weeks see if smell kicks up or buds swell
more.

Overall:

Success soil is very forgiving the phototron has no drain holes
yet I managed to get a nice plant through it's life cycle.



To all who helped me through all the bumps and those who just pass

Yes I have sampled smoke, sampling is still going on

Yeah bro the yield is surprising after all the grief people give the Phototron
This newbie is happy with the results.
I'll probably start it back up in a few days.

Well all.... "It's been a sweet ride."

Here's the final pic of the yield.

Aprox. 1 1/2 - 2 oz. sorry: no scale)
Smoke report: there is still no smell to speak of. I guess she smells
green yeah the color kinda like a lush green field, with a hint of
something sweet.
The smoke is strong but clean, the taste is well green, the most unique
smoke I've had. I guess that's the difference in smoking fresh herb.
The end result: Lasts 2+ hrs
Powerful but clear headed.
Other side of the apex is gradual, smooth and steady,
no feeling of being drained.
