Hello to all my fellow growers and smokers. I’m an old timer and been growing off and on since the late 1980s, mostly in CA.
Finding new strains and new ways is always fun. I figured if I want to learn about SIPs and new nutrients and methods, this is the place. Maybe I can even add to the pile of knowledge.

Phew! East Coast US - not me! Plenty of them out there though. I’ve had a stalling, root afflicted SIP post up pot from a Solo SWICK. I tried bring it through top watering but to no avail as they say. So on the spur of the moment and tipped it out the pot (I “up potted” to a Solo SIP I should...

That’s the up to date page but its pretty big! All sorts of designs and theories over there. @Azimuth runs a tight ship over with iron fist and steel rod. Joking, Azi is great.

Its a cool way to grow. I have some solo cup sized SIPs on the grow and already harvested from a couple but be sensible not an idiot like me!

Next grow you can do a journal if you fancy it. Always good to read some else’s journey!

It does make me concerned that some unscrupulous actor out there is using AI to scrape our forums though and will exploit our work to create a profit for themselves. Is this something you’ve thought about @420 ? I’m not tech savvy enough to know whether or not this is possible, but I’m also paranoid so

There’s no stopping it is the scary part. Just like nukes.. Someone is going to figure it out and I would prefer it to be us, and not some of the other countries feverishly working on it. So I get that we need to do it, and we need to not be hobbled by corporations demanding we stop for 6 months just so they can try to catch up. Screw that.. first to the finish line wins

I’ve seen people that it’s created and music. Music as we know it now will never be the same when you can just give it a topic and it writes it for you. So who’s the artist/writer? The AI or the person that gave it the topic? CL

Nick gave you the #SIP Club link but I'd suggest starting at page 1 and reading at least the first few pages as there are some good basics and design alternatives in there to get you started.

Any questions, ask away. Lots of very knowledgeable growers on here happy to offer advice simply for the asking.

They inputted my journals for grow advice I’m scared to think they’d come out with. Definitely coloured buttons would feature - would definitely need warnings.

Plus - trust me, makes no money!

But yeah as many have said there’s sensei for every style here.

My one outdoor girl -auto- hiding up on the balcony. She’s DDA and Wedding Cake, bred here, no training. Nothing that’s bred with DDA seems to get very big, its genetics are pretty dominant in this one. Has the interesting smell and purple hue coming in but I’ll be lucky to get 30g from her. Rainy day bud I guess
