Help with leaf possible problems!

Hello guys. I have one plant in veg. 1 month old. Strain not sure beetween norther light chocolate kush or bubble gum (one of those three). From 00 seeds feminized. Grow box 1×2×3 ft. Light 200w cfl grow 6500K , soil canna terra pro. Been using tap water not ph adjusted till yesterday. Using ghe veg nutritient organic. A lil under the recommended dosage. Using nutritients just last few waterings, 2 times with nutritient solutio, 1 time pure water. Temp on one sensor is 21 C constant. On other 23,24 C. Constant, humidity a little low,around 30 Rh but no problems shown when it was a seedling,doubt it would be a problem now. So the problem is :

Few days ago 2 big leafs turned bright green, made a possible mistake and cut them off today,and now just one leaf on side branch turned bright green close to yellowing I believe. What could it be?? Any ideas?

Opinions on general health of plant judged by pics??

I think you are seeing the first signs of becoming rootbound. Time to uppot soon.

You can run a container like that a little longer than a typical hard sided container, but you cant stop physics... at some point the roots run out of room, and when they do, those first lower leaves start to complain

So that small off a plant can get rootbound in that pot? I didnt know that,any sugestions or link how to transplant it from that pot in to a bigger one? I m afraid of damaging the plant heh.

no, but that might be why people use simpler containers for plants they know they are going to uppot. I see this surprises you... how much soil do you have in these?

About 1 galon maybe galon and a half . It s hard to transplant it from that pot?

never tried one, but I would imagine there is a sticking point at each hole. I bet though that if you carefully squeeze in from each side and then squeeze up on the bottom, you will get them to pretty easily slide out. And yes, 1g or even 2g is not enough to finish out one of our plants, unless you are just looking for a challenge. Move up to a 5g bucket... and drill holes in it just like these.... its a good system. Or, just buy a $3 cloth bag smart pot of any brand... they all work much better than the old fashioned hard sided containers.

Its not sticking its very how to say, fluffy soil, I have a feeling when I take it out its just gonna fall apart. I had a feeling that the container is big enough, I never even water the hole pot,just around the plant heh.

I stumbled across this so I’ll respond. Maybe it’s just time to up the nutes another step. The small amount of growing I’ve done using nutes, the advice was to keep them low (which you’ve been doing) until the plants show some lower leaf fade, and then increase nutes by about 25%.

I grow in soil as well and don’t have as much concern as Em about the root bound issue. We can grow and finish plants in all sorts of tiny pots and do it well! Just have to keep them well fed. If it were me I’d just up the nutes a little, until the lower leaves aren’t fading so much anymore.

The Canna Terra Pro soil you have is made for use with Canna nutes, are those the ones you have?

The pots looks a little low on soil too, a bit extra will give them a boost (if there’s room).

Oh and - while they might be ok at 30%RH, they won’t be close to happy with that, so I’d be aiming to get that higher, at least 50% if you can manage it.

When you water, now that they’re sizeable, it will be best to soak the whole pot fully and then let it dry out almost fully before the next one - that way the roots have the impetus and opportunity to populate the whole pot.

You can definitely up the nutes and the frequency that you water and with proper management and constant tending, as Amy said, you could get through this grow in the present containers. I don't presently see this as a nutrition problem, but instead a reaction at the root level, and I don't believe that increasing the nutes right now is going to make this go away, indeed I think the problem will continue to progress.
You can continue in the small amount of soil and It won't be as easy as the solution I suggested because it will be fraught with peril that something might go wrong dramatically fast in the small container, but following Amy's good advice as to how best to manage in that container should get you through. As I said, this is the very beginning signs of the roots beginning to be constricted. The damage we are seeing is not a crisis at this point, but it is a sign that more die off down below is going to happen and that the plant is likely not going to reach its full potential because of the challenges it is having to adjust to. For future reference, I think most experienced growers would agree that 3 gallons of soil is a good minimum to get you through a grow without any difficulties. I see no reason to make this hard if you don't have to.

When the leaves are hanging out over the sides of the container, you can be assured that the roots are up against the sides too. You could, if you were an experienced grower, manage with this size pot for the entire grow, but your yield will be reduced. Best to up-pot to a 5-gal fabric pot.

Thanks all for advice,any advice how to safely transplant it from this pot, and is it safe to use coffe bag made of juta? The brown bags that coffe comes in, I believe its pure cotton very airy bags, I can take pics of it,if it would help to judge upon.

Forgot to say,as a replacement of smart pots,cause I live in a state where it is hard to find smart pots,and dont want to wait for one to be shipped abroad.

Don’t worry too much about the soil crumbling during the transplant. These are pretty tough plants - a few broken roots are okay. Make the move when the medium is drier, so it doesn’t weigh as much, and just support the bulk of the root-mass as best as you can, to prevent too much tearing off.
