Hydroholic's House Of Colas

All the new little ones growing up. I am happy to get this first run of autos complete.

Great harvests. I was just reading back to your SC 1 harvest weight. We ended up being within a quarter gram of each other lol.
I have another one growing that will be right on par. I’m not real impressed with the strain. It was cool to grow in the beginning but was really not what I was expecting in the end.

Any thoughts on why the DD3 is in droop mode Hydro?
Both my other ones did the same. Not sure. I know they said that the Dark Devils are nute sensitive. Leaf curl down is typically high N but I doubt that to be true at 2.5 Gm-gal or watering issues. I just switched to cloth pots, not sure I’m sold. My plastic pots seemed better. I’m not over watering so really puzzled. I may not be getting good edge watering so the root system may be smaller. I don’t like that the plants branches are not over the sides which may support my statement. What are you thinking?

Since the whole leaf is turning down I would limit it to a few things. Over watering, underwatering, or root issues. Let's throw the last one out the window for now and assume the roots are good.
If you give her more water see how she reacts. If she perks right up then it's not enough watering. If she continues to droop it's too much watering. That's a basic start to try and figure out what to look for next. It doesn't appear to be a def or tox imo.

The last two pics above from an earlier post looked really dry so that's why I am leaning to lack of watering. Yes you want to tease them to the side but for now I would just make sure they get a good amount slowly poured in there. 2.5g is really not much so I wouldn't reduce it based on I'm not seeing any signs of burn or overfeed.

She doesn’t perk up after watering. I am keeping a dry pot in the room to compare. It has seemed to be dry. My humidity is running a little on the low side at 45% but again I don’t suspect that. I also wonder if I had some dry spots last time I watered. I miss my reservoir full of water. Lol

That's not bad at all. I've seen RH a lot lower not affect plants. I think @InTheShed ran a DDA. Maybe he can give some advice as well. So if it's not over or under watering, and your pH is good, the RH and temp are fine, the other plants are doing well, then maybe something going on below the surface.

Thanks for the shout MrS! Not sure that I'm the best one to help on a DDA since I only got one to sprout and flower, but they are a weird plant, with so many different phenotypes and strange things it does. It seems to be seriously the proverbial box of chocolates. The DDA thread is the place to ask, but those leaves do look like wet feet to me. Since it doesn't seem to be that from your description, then it does seem like a root issue as MrS suggests.

Got around to cleaning the tent. Fans and everything. Did some major cleaning and organizing. Seems like I get behind on cleaning when I’m in harvest mode. Also did some jarring. All the plants look great except the DD. I am perplexed unless it’s just a genetics thing. O well. She will get consumed.

I need to change the name of this journal and just keep it as a perpetual.
Transplanted all the solo cup seedlings into 1 gallon cloth pots. The Skunk was showing signs of root bound.
These pics were right before their watering. Do y’all water in cloth bags until there is water seeping from the sides evenly?

Here's how I do it with a 5gal fab pot. Mine wikk take 4L of water. The first liter is slowly poured all around the plant making sure the top has no dry spots. I then do the same to the next plant and the next. Then I'm back to plant one and use another liter to go all around the outside edge only, slowly, and not letting the center of the plant get wet. I then move to the next plant and so on.
The third liter I don't give until an 30-60 minutes after the 2nd liter was added. This makes sure the water in there has had a chance to soak into the surrounding medium. If I give the third liter right away I end up running the water through the pot.

The third liter starts out with another two doses around the outer edge and I normally wait a bit before I give that one as well. The remaining water from that liter then goes into the center around the stem working outwards. I then move on and do the same to the remaining plants.
The fourth liter may give runoff and the pot should feel quite heavy by now. As soon as I see runoff from the bottom, not the sides, I stop.

The only time I get runoff from the sides is if my plant is really dry and I water too fast. It can't soak into the medium and blows past.

I use FFOF btw.

Given all the plants in pots you may also have to change your name ;).

Since I have a life, I water each plant in about 2 minutes from start to finish without having any idea how much specifically is going into each pot. I water around the outside edge first until the fabric is wet from top to bottom, then I water the whole pot until I get real runoff (not just drips). Done! Then it's naptime, or off to work...

Shed's in Promix HP, where I use FFOF, so there is a difference to the methods as well.

But do you water clockwise or counterclockwise? I hear sativas like clockwise and idicas the opposite.

Soil sucks. I prefer to clean a few buckets and a reservoir once a week. I promise the dirt will remain outside when the house is done.
In my plastic pots I was dumping a liter in the top letting it soak in then slowly watering from center out until I got good run off. I am going to decide after these autos if I will go to 7 gallon fabric or a plastic pot.
I do appreciate the tips. I know there are advantages to these so I will continue. I think this photo grow will be the last in dirt.
