This is my last summer grow in this spot and I’m definitely incorporating air con in my next grow set up. It’s bloody hard work without it. I’ll come check out you journal now. I see you’re in RDWC, have you got a chiller installed?

Yes I have and love my chiller it runs I swear for a minute, 3 times an hour. when the room gets to hot the buckets start pouring sweat and condensation

For me It’s the number one downfall of running single buckets not being able to run a chiller.

Good morning 420. Sorry to keep banging on about the heatwave at the moment but it’s being a real pain in the ass. Apparently we’ve got another wave potentially hitting next week and that’s not good at all. So far the plants seem ok, some slight leaf curl but with temps set to hit 32 today I’m getting antsy. Haven’t done any work on the plants apart from topping up the buckets and changing out the frozen bottles. Here are the pics,

In the veg tent the young plants are probably getting to the stage where I need to think about giving them a res change on to some stronger nutes but I’m waiting until the temps drop. I’ve giving the two taller plants their first topping and the shorter looking pheno has another couple of days to catch up.

What about running CO2 in the heat? You don’t have to go all out tech war, but what about one of those fermented breather bag jobbies? Jars of activated yeast? IDK. Seems to be the opportunity to try it as it’s supposed to be not much use at lower temps. Just a thought.

I have thought about CO2 but I’ve got really over powered ventilation so I’d have to turn that off for it to be effective and I feel I might be in a worse situation.

that is me also if I turned off vents for CO2 I would be pushing 35+ in the tent, with vents on high I can keep it normal

Thank you @McRib. I love the French Macaron it’s a great smoke, highly recommended. Weather has been a lot cooler over the last two days and the plants and me are much happier! Just about to give an update. Hope you’re enjoying the weekend buddy.

Hey 420. I’ve been rained off from working today so I had plenty of time to give the flowering girls a fresh res each this morning. It’s just over 5 weeks since the flip and I’m starting to ease up on the nutes now.
30 ml bloom nutes
15 ml silicon
30 ml CalMag
10 ml PK booster
10 ml Beneficial Bacteria
PH 5.7
EC 1.4

Over the last couple of days the buds are really swelling and I’m starting to feel the weight when moving them about. With the weather a lot cooler now I’m even tempted to fire up the dehumidifier and ramp up the trichome production.

I’m really happy with them. When I flipped them it was more of a whatever I get scenario, I didn’t expect such a room full. With at least another 4 weeks of flower I can’t wait to see how they finish.
