Mountain Winter Indoor Grow

Day 74

Day 25 of Flowering

The ladies look and smell great this morning, seems as if we're on same schedule today. (light turned on just as i poked head into dark)
Im noticing a very few buds starting to shrivel some of their white hairs into orange. Rather this is good or bad at this point Im honestly clueless but do know coming into middle of week 4 I kind of expect some change. ;)
Going to look and see how long until i can feed them again but i think a few more days in that regaurd.
Found about 3 balls last night hiding on shortest seedling. These were difficult to spot because all of them were tucked neatly up under a bud's sugar leaf skirt as i say. Thankfully Im not seeing a single one today.
I can already see change for better on the lower sites amongst the bushy girls that just got tied down yesterday, neat.
Im off to face the day and will return this afternoon but for now, cheers!

How it is happening on multiple plants in same timeframe leads to assume all is normal. I tend to overthink sometimes, lol

Was just getting home and could not figure out what my cat Lucy was screaming about...but then i realized she just wanted to "help" with the leaves, lol. Her brother Tick likes too but has never just screamed pitifully until i get in tent...talk about spoiled kitties lol..

Here is a quick topshot of the bushes after a little pruning on their sugar and fan leaves that were blocking light.

Gotta say it, these 2 are amazing and suprizing me, especially yieldwise. The "clusters" in alot of places are starting to take shape as it was just one big bud instead of several smaller as it truly is. I love this plant!! lol

Brought home a few different strains that are very high cbd % to try. Dont get me wrong as I am always seeking the most thc potent flower to be found..only in the last few years have I discovered the different benefits cbd, cbg, and cbn can offer. My wife also got me an early valentine; coolest concentrate holder ever! Here some bud porn for all you fellow advocates!

I feel like Winnie the Poo! Love it!

Pinapple Express - tried on way home, still feeling awesome! :thumb:
20210209_122249.jpg

Anxious to try this Bubba Kush too....supposedly 23% cbd! Neat!

Ok, couldnt leave you guys out...had another friend come by and have ended up with still another strain for the day! Wow..good times...this one definitely has more thc content then the rest of today's trials and after just a small sample myself i can say novices be careful of this heavy hitter! :ganjamon:

20210209_194214.jpg

Ive never heard of until tonight...Dog Bite is the strain name which is a product of West Coast Dawg X Lemon Drop Kush! Has a wonderful sour fruity flavor at first with an earthy smooth finish; ...very stoned off just a few tokes! Wow! and i thought my tolerance was "high", lol get it? Shooo..goodnight 420.

Dog Bite. I'll remember that! I had a Flower Bomb Kush recently that put me in the foetal position after a few tokes. It is like a flower bomb too with the terps... well worth finding imo.

Yep its a keeper for sure..well, at least the version we got. We definitely not considered lightweight either, usually only even use concentrates through nectar collector so for just plain flower to take effect like this, wowser potent.
Came accross something and had me realize though the possibilities of a perfect "entourage"; but im now ruling this out because this morning I ONLY toked Dogbite once again to test all this, im stuck on my couch and took waaay to long to write this. Lol! I shouldve waited until later in day maybe ...but i am definitely relieved of all ailments so i dont mind at all. Cheers!

Day 26 of Flower

Just the morning ritual from the roots out sloow. Rotated all the trained girls around to give some light to other areas..
They are still swelling daily and are still mostly stretched out white hairs with the exception of a few shades of purple and orange hairs on a very few.
I think I overslept (damn you, Dog Bite) the overbearing smell today as it was mild compared to yesterday when my light timer had just clicked on.

Ouch ! I noticed three stalks on the Skunky Cookies before I left earlier that I may have supercropped a little TOO much. They were just fatter which is fine, but today I noticed a few are actually bruised brownish at the site and a few small spots I can actually see completely through the split stems even..may look worse than actually is but still have to do something for her. Didnt have any "plant" tape so i improvised with some small pieces of plain packing tape. Hopefully this helps her heal and will keep whatever bad stuff if any out of the wounds. Left a nice little flap on each to make for easier removal in the future hopefully. Cya this eve 420. :bong: :goodluck:

Rearranged the two bushes to the center for the first time ...ever!
Also noticed some, well, lots of roots already climbing up through the surface of their medium AGAIN! lol..I pulled out my trusty soil and topdressed each pot about an inch or two.
Im also noticing a slight bug issue...gnats, little tiny bastards you can barely see..mostly in the soil; not sure if they're eating my roots but I have found a very few fan leaf that had been gnawed on by something too. Hopefully this is no concern to my ladies and is just a pest, anyone with any gnat knowledge feel free to help and if i can move fast enough ill capture a pic of one soon. Thanks all.

Field Goal!

Looking good! The gnat problem can be dealt with using a three pronged approach. 1) Soil drench with a solution containing Bacillus Thuringiensis. That will kill the larvae, which feed on roots. 2) sprinkle some Diatomaceous Earth on the surface of the medium, to chop up any hatchlings wiggling to the surface. 3) Hang yellow sticky cards amongst the plants to catch the flying stage, which are attracted by the yellow.

Edit - fungus gnats often appear of the grow medium is too wet. Maybe give that a look too.

Can Bacillus Thuringiensis and Diatomaceous Earth be found at Lowe's or maybe Tractor Supply?
Thanks for quick reply. :Namaste:

The BT should be available in local brand pesticides. Maybe google "bacillus thuringiensis near me". Diatomaceous Earth can be found at most garden stores, as can the yellow stickies. We have a locally produced range called Margaret Roberts, for organic pesticides. Note the wetness of the soil though too. Fungus Gnats is how I discovered this website hahaha. Good luck! That strawberry thingie looks delicious.

This makes sense because the pot I seen the most in was on of the bushy ones, which seem to hold moisture longer lately. I am due for my weekly dryout session so maybe I'll look again after a few days without water..possibly they wont survive the drought? Or should I go ahead and treat as infestation? Thanks again.

I'd treat it for infestation if it were me. I am not sure what others would advise. If it is not too severe an infestation you could do your dryout session first but these things are persistent, so I think they will survive the drought. Take a look at the lifecycle and it may help you decide.

Day 76

Day 27 of Flowering

No water for any of my ladies this morning. Im giving them a dry spell possibly until next feeding. There are a few reasons for this; A. Im pretty sure I am guilty of overwatering recently as their drinking habits somewhat changed going further into their 12/12 cycle while my watering stayed routine. Only the largest seedling's pot has even appeared thirsty in the evenings as of lately instead of all six. B. Im going all out on my mission to erradicate the gnats. They like moisture so I need to end it. Also planning on getting BT stuff asap also..
Wishing everyone and their garden the best!

This one and my shortest seedling both look and smell fantastic but are still unidentified. Planning on 420's help for this issue. In another week or two they should be a little easier to identify as their profiles really start to show. I have a small list made of possibilities I will anounce again when we get a little further into this cycle.
