My First Time Grow Journal: Pictures, Descriptions, Timelines

Hmm, everything sounds ok. She certainly doesn't seem to be improving though. Looks like she is having trouble getting enough water. Too little uptake or sweating too much out.
I have another plant next to her. Same strain, same water. Only difference is that it is using Kratky method. Leaves look solid green and reaching for the light!

It will just be a waiting game at least until this week is done. I wish there was a way I could clone her and continue with that. Again, thanks for the help.

Update: hehe this plant has seriously been on my mind! I think I am over complicating things and need to just KEEP IT SIMPLE! out of a last ditch effort I decided to take out my new LED grow light and set my CFLs up again. I have NO idea if this will work or help, but since exhausting my options I'm left with this idea. I've only got her on 69w of light right now. [23w×3] CFL 6500k. My thinking is maybe the lower light can help her recover and not bombard her. We will see after work what happens. Keep Cynthia in your prayers and have an awesome safe day people!!!

The very very first plant. It was dying in my hydro setup and started thriving in dirt. @Bilbobudkin420

I think one of two things are happening:

1. The pH is off. I bought a cheap pen and the calibration may be off? I've checked it against drops and paper tests and it seems to be on, however it is not precise by any means.

2. The temp in my grow room is too high. Thi may be eliminated because I moved out my 300w LED and changed to a CFL [69w] to still give it light, but not the heat. Ran 18/6 all weekend, hydro plant still droopy.

After moving the 2 hydroponic plants to dirt, they have grown and perked up much more. I'm thinking of changing my medium to soil, and then placing it in my grow room. If it grows, something is up with the water!

Do you think a soil grow will help remedy these problems?
It depends man. Soil is calmer. Means hand watering and stuff like that and you gotta make sure there's some sort of air flow underneath the pots. I haven't done so i dont really know if you would like it more. It seems to me though that a lot can go wrong with dwc if you aint ontop of it in regards to checking PH all the time, cleaning out the buckets etc. It can go wrong bad.
Soil is easier going. Ph your water/feed, tent temps in the right general area, decent humidity and proper watering practices then you're pretty much golden dwc the water temps and ambient temps can vary greatly, think about it if you got a full canopy theres no light getting down to the bucket so no light energy to warm the bucket, the ambient temp could be perfect but that big ol bucket of water down at the bottom in the dark with the intake fan blowing around the temp could be a lot lower.

I'm going to give it a go and switch all to soil. All my hydroponic plants outside [tomatos, peppers] are fine 95+ temp everyday. Solid green. The hydro plants growing in doors [cannabis] are doing crappy. However when I put them in soil outside [95degree temp] they thrive lol. I bet if I move the soil plants indoor and do like you said, I will have some fire!!

If your outdoor girls are doing good keep em outdoors bud. Keep the space for a fresh load :p lol

Ok peeps. So both of my plants in hydro are now in soil. The one that I thought would actually be the best one turned out to get a major major case of the droops, and everyday it was getting worse. So I ended up taking that baby girl out of the DWC and stick it in soil on my balcony. It actually perked up almost instantly and started to be it's old green self again. So, I moved my smaller kratky plant to the now free DWC, and the same thing started happening again. My conclusion: too much heat. So I stuck the DWC on the balcony and it perked up. I decide well I guess I'll shift to soil and see what's going on. These are the plants now. Check out previous photos to see the diff from my first hydro grows, to now soil. Thanks @TurboBucket and @Bilbobudkin420 for putting up with incessant questions and bugging. Thanks guys! Any suggestions on these baby girl is much appreciated. I have no yet added any nutes, I'm just trying to let them get a good take the soil before I overload. I guess I'll keep these plants in the same forum, seeing as it is still my first grow but a new method. Hope that suffices! Tell me what you think of the plants. Any criticism or suggestions are much appreciated. Peace, love, and green!!!

Woke up this morning to this droopy girl. No idea why. She was dry yesterday light in weight so gave her a bit of water, and now she is droopy. See the difference?
