New LED - Distance to Canopy?

Greetings. I'm new here and would like to hear what is your optimum distance from LED light to plant canopy in flowering stage.

Also please include how many watts (from wall, not LED watts) your light draws so I can compare accordingly. It's a new light on its maiden voyage grow, a 520 watt Illumitex DS. Done with veg and transition, now starting full bloom. Many thanks.

18"too 24". well it depends on the light you have to give right answer.

Thanks for info CO. I am currently at 18"-21" I was using 16"-18" when I noticed that pistils on top of bud were not as well developed as pistils on side of buds. Looked like maybe some heat/light stress. I posted hoping to learn what the consensus distance most used. It's dimmable so I might have to lower power a bit and see what happens.

It depends on your space and money. I have a small space so the Mars II 400 is more than enough for me and priced perfectly

Hi Jazzed. I included it in my initial post, but it is an Illumitex Neosol DS. I followed LED lights for 3+ years before feeling good enough about some before buying. There seem to be quite a few good ones now.

Here is some info on Illumitex versions of spectrum. F3 is really heavy in red and has green and no white? Anywho... i was looking around their website and they dont have any distance or even wattage. But it says it should replace a 1000w HID so as to placement? I would place it the same as a 1000w to start according to their suggestion. Actually they say they will money back if it doesnt replace a 1000w.

Thanks ecofrog. It's 520 watts, dimmable too, which was saved me $ in veg. I've gradually increased to near full power. Green is what we see so the plants appear green, not pink and purple.
