yes air flow is key ...as far as when to worry about it … look up Everest hernadez vpd and flow your outdoor temps and humidity on the vpd chart its color coated and you want to look for over transpiration situations …. inspect your plant and if you see it cut it out and clean your hands and scissors before touching any other buds ..alcohol wipes would work best in this situation .
Another grower here recommended Southern Ag Garden Friendly Fungicide. I'll be spraying my flowering plants this weekend because I get bud rot a lot.

Definitely don't want to be seeing any of that shit. How fast will it spread?
Very fast. Within a few days it can take over the entire cola. Once you see the mold, the spores have already spread. That's why I'm spraying in advance of even seeing browning leaves.
