Hey Papasmoke. I just ordered a pretty inexpensive handheld loupe recently - one of the first things I learned from good folks in this community since I had never ever even thought about a loupe; lol @ me. I'm interested in answer to your question too - since that could make a difference - which ones we should target. Although, one of those buds that fall when a stem gets broke from time to time might be a good candidate for evaluating...

Nice!! I have a buddy who has a loop... I didn't really care for it versus my led lit 60-100x handheld...

I'm wondering if this makes a difference or not... I'm guessimg trich colors wouldn't be different on buds versus on the sugar leafs but I could be wrong ...

Guess I'll have to accidentally break a few more stems haha

I usually notice leaves will be a bit ahead of the bud if you check both you will see what I mean

Yea, I'm with Cronic, ambers appear on the sugar leaves 1st

So I'm wanting a good couch lock... So I should harvest when 50% of trichs on the buds are amber

Still some heads on Buds that are clear... Bout 50-60% cloudy....

Hey Papasmoke! Great discussion point regarding the trichs on the budz and leavz. So if I understand the discussion correctly, the trichs first start changing to cloudy and amber on the sugar leaves and then it's optimum to harvest when the bud trichs are 50% amber but not shriveled?

BTW, I called my new tool a loupe but I actually ordered a 60 x 100 handheld w/ light - similar to the one you have. Cheers!

That is precisely the way I understand it myself. This handheld is pretty awesome...

Thoughts on adding blackstrap molasses these las 2-3 weeks????

Looked all over all my plants... Didn't see any bananas....

But seen these on 2 plants in corner of tent.... Looks like seeds forming... Please someone tell me I'm wrong !!!!

Hi Papasmoke. Some of the lone calyxes right at a node can get quite large. If it is not filling then it isn't a seed. Also, I've observed similar sites on plants that actually make a small male pod and release of few stealth filaments of pollen. They are not hermies and these actually produce female seeds. I almost always get a few of these in the strain I grow. These are just my own observations though.

yea those pods at the nodes is the ones but you can tell it doesn't hurt to touch them
you can tell if theres something inside
just from the pic it doesn't look like its a seed especially if you say it shows no hermie parts
some of the biggest pods are on the nodes I really wouldn't worry unless the main buds are being affected and have seeds
but you said it doesn't so Have a Great Skunkday Papa

Those are some very dense looking nugs man awsome grow cant wait to see my own pop out here and quick question when did you change nute feeds from vege to flower how far into flower before you changed?

Thanks Chronichemphog.... Won't be much longer now I'm thinking chop right around Thanksgiving weekend maybe first weekend of December!!

Is it possible for some of these plants to be done before the other even tho they all started flower same Time.. I know it can be strain specific.. But I have two plants that one looks like needs another 3 weeks an then the other exact same strain looks like it will be done faster...
