Howdy and hello! I have spent a good bit of money and shit load of time researching but have finally started my 1st grow! And I am hoping some master minds can lend their knowledge to help me along the way. Now I am strapped for cash so I wont be upgrading anytime soon. My current set up is as follows:

Painted with flat white a 3x4x2 space which can extend down when my ladies get taller if it works out that way. I have a 240 cfm fan with carbon filter to help with smell. Not a master engineer here so hopefull did right.

Bucket Size - 3 gallon
Medium - 75% coco coir 25% periolite with more at bottom of pot.
Lights - 4 per plant 23w (1300 lumens-5000k)
Nutrient- CalMag, Fox farms trio (grow big, tiger bloom, big bloom)
Strain- Auto Northern lights
# of Plants: 2

So I was told a couple different things but opted to start em in the pot they were gonna finish in. Less stress and all. Planted an inch down in warm moist soil. Left it nice and dark. On 1/30 the left pot from here referred to as Dean ( yes I love supernatural...though hopefully its female) sprouted.

Of course the very next day on 1/31 the plant on the right, hereby referred to as Sam sprouted.

On 2/2 Dean sprouted 1st set of real leaves. Sam following the next day.

Not sure why but on 2/5 Sam's 1st leaves shriveled and yellowed freaking me out.
Gave it 1/2 gal ph 6.5 tap water with CalMag added. Only 1 and 1/2 ml.

2/6 Dean's topsoil was dry and pot felt light. Gave 1 1/2 ml Foxfarms grow big and 1 1/2 calmag.

2/8 Sam rebounded and next set of leaves were beautiful. Fed it 3ml (still confused cause instructions state 1tsp per gal. So 5ml per tsp would mean 2.5 ml right?) Grow big and 1 1/2 calmag.

2/9 Dean got 1/2 gal plain 6.5 ph with 1 1/2 calmag.

2/11 Both plants Sam more than Dean are suffering from yellow tips.

Well everything I read said the coco doesnt really have any nutes in it. And fed just water with calmag in it till they were a week. Im thinking 1/4 of amount on the feeding schedule would be fine for the babies. But there has been a difference in opinon. Any past grows explain why either one is better? When would you introduce them?

They do look good and in coco a little nutes wont hurt, just watch for nute burn, But you need to get ph down. I grow in coco, perlite 75/25 also and ph should run about 5.8, I water 2 times a day 5.8 morning 5.65-5.7 evening. Yours are still young, so once a day at 5.8 should be good.

Everyday? The 3 gal pot dont dry out that quickly? So far its been every 2 to 3 days. And nutes every other will definitely look into lowering ph. Cause something is off

You don't want the coco to dry out that will cause ph to fluctuate to much, you cant overwater in coco, water slowly till a little run off with 1/4 or less nutes till they get a little bigger. Coco is like hydro, if you want quick growth that is the way to go.

Have seen a big growth in Sams height and foliage. Dean however has not grown in height at all. The new leaves are green at the top, but down by the coco are yellow. Gave a full 5.6 ph flush(2x the amt of water I normally use. Completely clean run off) nothing added just cool water. When testing cocos moisture no more than a knuckle deep. I came across a little root. Is that normal?

ITS A GIRL! I think... lol sam or now Samantha has started to pre-flower. I see some little pistels showing. Take a look:

Gave her (per gallon) 2.5 ml grow big and big bloom and 3ml calmag. Only fed her half a gallon though.

Gave dean plain 5.5 ph with 1.5 ml of Cal mag.. started to get bushier yellowing not showing in new growth so thats good. Still not a lot of height but very bushy.
