Paulwall's First Grow Ever

I dont have a ppm meter and i have not used any nutes yet, according to roseman's tutorial i should wait untill the secound nodes come up

So everything seems to be going pretty well, i started misting the plants daily and my humidy seems to be pretty constant round 40-43 which is better then before. I plan to empty and then refill my tank tomarow and hopefully be ready to add smoe nutes the secound set of nodes are comming out of most the plants. The roots are growing nicely as well. Should i be checking the ph every day even if i no new water is needed? Anyways here are some pictures.

I am going to be using general hydroponics flora series for the nutes. According to Roseman i should put in 1/4 of the recomended dose on the bottle. Is this right, does anyone with some experience with gh have any other input.:thanks:

Looks like your off and growing Paulwall !! That sounds good you can't hurt them if you give them less but boy does more hurt !! Your grow sure looks nice and neat right now just wait till them babies are takin over your grow room :yummy:

I emptied my tub today and gave the roots a little breather and i added some nutes for the first time. I gave them one teaspoon of micro and grow nutes and sprayed them a little. I will upload the pics in a little.

Hey guys, this is my first update since i put in the nutes. Like i said earlier i put in 1 tsp per gallon of water of micro and grow gh nutes each. I think i might have gave them a little to much since i noticed some yellowing. In addition i noticed a color change in some of the roots. The area between the grow cups and water. The roots had some wierd looking black stuff. I'll try to show you what i mean with the pictures. Anyways if anyone has some input or tips it would be greatly aprreciated. :thanks:

Another thing ive noticed is that the leaves are curving down slightly im not sure what that means.

The roots get stained in that area from the nutes. I bet that is where the slight discoloration came from. If the leaves continue to curl like that then you might want to back off the nutes a little. Looking good so far my friend!

Yeah it showed up a little on the tubing also that the roots were next to, but anyways they seem to be a bit more yellow not really any change in water uptake though.

Thanks alot purpdaddy, i might go to you for some reference on the nutrients. Do you think that giving them 1 tsp of each was to much to start with? I took some more pictures this morning after there little rain shower. They seemed to have yellowed a little more but not much. The roots in the bottom left plant are kinda wierd like sticking togather almost. Well i'll post the pics tonight. I also took the pictures without the light this time. Thanks again for all the feedback Deep Water Culture.

They still dont seem to be drinking to much but hopefully they will speed up soon.

Give them another wk or two then you'll see them drinking Paul !! What type of water are you using ? Tap or drinking ? What type of nutes and how much do you use ? Thanks:peace:
