Stealth - Soil - HID - Smart Pot - SCROG - GDP - First Grow

Re: Stealth, Soil, HID, Smart Pot, SCROG, GDP - First Grow

I just went back near the begining of your journal to look at the ladies, holy crap they have grown! It's realy cool how fast they are frosting up.. I wanna FedEx my nose to your house, can you just overnight it back to me...:)

Keep it green!

LOL

It is crazy how fast they have grown. That's why I was thinking that you should just flip yours now. I've got another 6 weeks of growth to go!

They're going to be huge!!

Re: Stealth, Soil, HID, Smart Pot, SCROG, GDP - First Grow

Those weeks are going to go slow for you but fly for us. You are going to be so happy with the result.

I don't want to alarm you, but from your recent pictures, I think you are getting close to a mag(def) problem. Some yellowing is fine, you can chalk it up to the nitrogen pull... but the way the leaves are yellowing got me thinking about how many weeks you have left.

I suggest the next watering of plain water, you add in a 1/2 tsp / gal of some type of micro-nutient formula... GH has one for micro that has a pepper on it, that has a bit of N in it but it can't hurt... I just think you are about 3 weeks too early to start the starve.

Your thoughts?

I was looking at the myself and I KNEW it wouldn't get past you! :)

I add a cal/mag nute with every nute watering. Last was plain water. I've seemed to have some cal/mag thing going on this entire grow that seems to come and go.

Maybe I should up the dosage??

Honestly, I don't think my nutes are the best. They are the TechnaFlora starter kit. I think it's designed to be somewhat fuck up proof. I've always gone full strength and never had a hint of burn.

Leads me to believe that with of the "1/4" strength suggestions here that they may not be full on.

Your thoughts??

Sulpher treatment tonight to deal with powdery mildew. I've got a light case of it but it's there non the less.

Followed the directions on the bottle as far as application is concerned.

Hit the vape....eeeeessshhhhhh :)

Hey Giantsfan! Awesome new pics. They are definitely some bushy plants..as far as the growth goes. It might not hurt to invest in a couple of cfls for under the canopy. give them inside and bottom buds some more light as well. I noticed quite the difference from not doing it my first grow, to adding under skirt lighting on my second grow. And definitely dont worry about being generous with the amount you add.. You are using 250w worth of HID...

I really dont know much about mildew issues, but with the high humidity... Maybe adding more ventilation to your closet might aid in lowering it slightly? Again, being extra generous with your ventilation definitely wont backfire on you...

Anyway lookin great sir! good work with tackling your issues head on!

Thanks buddy. Adding ventilation has definitely helped. My problem is we've been going through a wet spell and the ambient humidity has been high. The air being drawn in is pretty high in humidity. Lights on, I have no problem, lights off it gets kinda high.

Ventilation has changed my box over the last week. I didn't realize I didn't have enough of it until I turned both exhaust fans on 24/7 and the intake as well. I don't know this but it seems like the light system hasn't even come on since did that and I can dial in my temps to the degree with lights on..

It's pretty cool really...I'll see about the mildew here in a bit but I'm thinking that the sulpher will take care of it....I don't want to lose this whole crop to mold...that would so suck!!

Hey GF24. Living where we are has some good and bad for growing. The bad for indoors is to much Humidity in winter and not enough in the summer. Keep up the good work and you have a great journal. :tokin:

We have a grow-shop near my place that specializes in 420. So I would go down and find powder bloom nuts with micro in them and go 1/2 strength for 3-4 waterings. Cost would only be 7-8 bucks. Then I would see if they react. Then go full strength if I was sure the ppm wasn't too high. There is nothing stopping you from adding in a bit of different nuts into the soil. I bet the mg is running out because these girls are inhaling the p-k.-

That's why I mentioned the gh floro-micro. That stuff is my goto source when I get a immobile nut def com-in on. Fe is the same thing at first. So are you sure the ph hasn't crept up to 7.2 or 7.3 with everything going on? I would use water ph'd at 6.7 or 6.8. To assure what I am putting in isn't weirding out the balance.

You got nothing to worry about with this really. The fan leaves you have can fade for three weeks no problem. So you gotta buy a bit more time.

Let me know if you want an organic idea too because that includes kelp powder.lol

My ph has been very consistent in the 6.8 to 7.0 range throughout. So gh flora micro?

I'll check with my guy and see what he's got. Thanks!

Day 66 - Flowering Day 19

Well, nothing like a little trimming to slow down the vertical growth!! The bud growth is still going very well but the vertical growth has slowed just a bit.

Needed to clear out some space for airflow and also get rid of some diseased fan leaves. I've researched and researched and the overwhelming advice is to never trim unless you've got something working that could be detrimental to your plants.

That's my feeling as well. I don't think that trimming is a wise move unless you've got a very good reason for doing it. That's just my take after reading for the last couple days.

Last night I saturated both plants with organic fungicide..sulpher mix...to clean up the powdery mildew. Did it just at lights off and they look ok this morning. I was nervous about spraying the buds but the instructions said to so I did.

Hopefully this will help clear this problem up to some degree. I think it's like athlete's foot though...it's like luggage...just keeps following you around! (thank you Eddie!)

Anyway...nute watered Jessica today....she is looking sweet..not going to chop her early. Fuck it..:)

Pics!!

Re: Stealth, Soil, HID, Smart Pot, SCROG, GDP - First Grow

Looking great! They are swelling up pretty fast huh? I'd take Jess off of your hands but I think shipping her would be a logistics nightmare. Or driving her down south would be interesting too if you got pulled over and the cop walked up to the car, looks down at the passanger seat and sees a plant wearing a seat belt.

Re: Stealth, Soil, HID, Smart Pot, SCROG, GDP - First Grow

I wish I could take the lady, but having a crowd control issue as it is. I crossing my fingers that the power does not go out. Soaked ground and high winds, oh my. Oh well, I will just sit and smoke some meds.

They are developing very quickly..more so than I imagined course I didn't know what to expect. This has been a very easy strain to grow.

Shipping would be an issue...we have a disneyland trip planned for May...brownies, brownies!!..but she'll either be well brownies by then or awesome smoke...

"Sir, do you have a license for that?" YES I DO!! :)

The weather has been incredibly wet this week. Thursday was our only good day. I wonder at this point if Jess has any potency?? I was thinking of taking her at the 30 days of flowering mark and make more room for the other girls.

Update to come....maybe tomorrow. My little guy is all over me right now...it's a good thing!!

Re: Stealth, Soil, HID, Smart Pot, SCROG, GDP - First Grow

If Jess has Trichs then she will deliver some comfort. From sativas you will get mostly a cerebral high and a relaxing body buzz from indicas. The trichs do have influences with which way it leans, cloudy trichs is more head high while amber trichs produce more of a body buzz...you want a mix of about 50/50 to get the best of both worlds

Good knowledge...yeah all plants have trichs now...they're tough to see but they are there.

We'll see how the box is looking on Monday as to whether I harvest her early or not..sure wish I had flipped to 12/12 earlier than I did...damn it!
