End of week 6 flower update.

The girls are starting to absolutely reak up the place even with the carbon filter, I love it. I'm very surprised my indicas aren't further along though, my last soil grow I had buds at week 6 flower and full out smokable buds by around week 8 flower but this time around buds havent even formed barely. The tweed plant that is closest to the light has some buds starting though and a bit of purple on the tips.

Still having a few problems with what looks like nitrogen toxicity. Does anyone reccomend I drop my Micro and Grow completely out of my feedings? Per 5 gallons of water I'm adding
20Ml Micro
5Ml Grow
50Ml Bloom
12.5 Ml Calnesium
20Ml Bud Boom

I still don't have a Ph pen or ppm meter but with the drops I have been phing my feeds to about 6.0 pure yellow indicator so I know I have been in the right range most of the grow if not all of it as 3 plants still have perfect leaves and 3 have the dark green leaves and leaf curl and tips pointing down. One plant from the seeds I made appears to have some seeds growing in 2 budsites, so disappointing.

Heres some pictures of some budsites!

End of week 7 flower update.

Starting to see some action in the tent now. Smells like some very dank weed when I open up the tent and one plant specifically has a very pungent scent coming off as earthy kush smell can't wait to harvest this batch, I'm thinking about 2 to 4 weeks longer and a few of them should be ready.

Also 2 of the plants are now showing off their purple leaves. Very small buds on my purple Indi but they are very dense so far and also the tweed bakerstreet buds all closest to light are show some purple and are decently dense but surprisingly my fingers weren't sticky at all barely after giving one nug a little squeeze. When I touched my purple indi plants my fingers are sticky for a good half hour and have to wash it off with iso.
Heres some pictures of the ladies.

Beginning of week 8 flower update.

Not sure if it's my watering practices or I just don't have all the nutrients I need or just overdoing the nitrogen but these plants seem far behind for starting week 8 flower to me. Buds are puny still and one plants buds feel like they are barely even sticky and i have lots of undergrowth dying off turning brown and dry and withering away and leaf clawing towards the tops . It could be that my PH is not exact as I dont have a pen and am using the drops but the drops are reading around 6.0 each mixing. In soil I had much bigger buds by this point in time so I just dont know what's going on right now.

I'm sure I will still end up with some decent smoke if I ride it out but it's just very discouraging seeing the results of where I'm at now. A few plants seem to be doing not so bad but a couple of them have thr most pathetic top buds I have ever seen barely the size of a penny. Heres some pictures of where I'm at now.

The smell around my house is getting out of control also! I went to work the other day and supervisors and lead hands were on the hunt for who brought a bag of weed to work and searched everyone's jackets in the lockup area. I have become nose blind to it being right at the source but luckily I never got confronted and they couldnt figure out who smelled like "Javex/Marijuana" haha. My roommate brought gloves to work also and they absolutely wreaked like skunk weed. #Goodtimes.

Awesome looking girls @The Noob . Definitely, going to be great smoke. I agree the buds are smaller. IMO, it could be you didn't Veg the plant long enough or check your light source.
Your color looks great so I dont believe it's a nutrient problem.
Great job man on your plants
Thanks man, ya my purple indica strain was pretty much finished by week 9 flower from the 12/12 flip while growing in soil but it had smaller super dense nugs so I'm hoping in the next 2 weeks they will swell up and gain some weight and size. The tweed plants I'm unsure of how long they take to finish but they have bigger buds then my strain so far. I think I begged for long enough I think about 1.5 months - 2 months, it might be because the plants are around 5 feet tall and my bigger light only penetrates 2.5 feet into the canopy and my other one is 1.5 feet. I think I only have around 330 real watts for lighting with the 350 and 400 viparspectras. It's probably lack of lighting mixed with the fact I topped them once at a younger age to make them all grow like a "Y". This batch I started my flower countdown like a week and half after flipping so I just feel like they should be a bit further along. It's crazy also I have one plant that isn't under any lighting in the back corner and the buds are still growing pretty good and frosty bigger then the ones directly under the light. The other ones under the light are more leaf then bud at the moment though. Maybe some plants are pickier than others too. I'm still hoping for the best though!

Beginning of week 9 flower update.

Sadly the buds are still small but slowly growing I raised the ph of my nute mix a little higher and I'm starting to see some better results. Only raised it because I noticed my runoff was coming out at 5.0. Hoping i still get a half decent yield. Trichromes on the more finished plants are starting to go very cloudy and almost all pistils browned. Heres some shots.

At this point I feel like the buds havent grown at all in 3 weeks, I dont really know what to do now. Either severely stunted or stopped growth completely. I think I'm going to start treating it more like soil and let it go a full day in between waterings as the coco is still wet everyday when I water. Maybe overwatering is my problem but I
thought it was impossible in coco. I'm now out of my Calnesium nutrient and only have Micro, Grow, Bloom, Bud Boom left. Maybe its because I ran out of all the other beneficial micronutrients on my last grow but I thought you could successfully grow with just the basic nutrients too. Probably going to chop these down around week 11or atleast the top half of the canopy and start over with clones and go back to growing in soil as it's much more forgiving and much less work with watering every 3 days.

Week 10 flower update.

Progress is still going slowly but a bit better since I started watering a little less. Buds have increased in size slightly since last week and trichromes are looking pretty milky on some with a few amber.

My purple indica plants this run have ridiculously small buds compared to my last soil run and that run they all finished at 9 weeks. They are still very frosty though and smell great except for one plant has lost its smell it was the stinkiest plant and best smelling Terps in the trichromes now they dont have a smell at all almost and not really even sticky anymore. 2/4 phenos of my purple indica stayed green but only of those has decent buds happening right now.

The tweed bakerstreet has little rock hard nugs and looks they are starting to swell a bit more or at least trying to. The bud closest to the light has some purple hues in it and the scent from rubbing a sugar leaf gives off a lemony earthy smell and the buds are super hard but still small. The second tweed plant has almost a banana like smell and has a few amber trichromes but its buds are even smaller then the other one.

Plants are looking good it sucks about the buds everything looks good man
Thanks, going to give them a few weeks of only watering 1 once every 2 days and see how it works out. I also cut clones of the tweed bakerstreet plants and a few of the more frosty purple indica and there in soil now so I have a chance to redeem myself haha. Hope these ones finish soon lol.

I fill your pain I got one in flower I thought would be done 2 weeks ago and now it looks like it might still have a weeks. I just cut a bunch of clone I hope live good luck
Thanks man, you too. I actually cut 8 clones and all 8 rooted so I was pretty happy with the 100% success rate. I just cut them with sterilized scissors at a 45° angle then dipped them into a cup of water quick and from there just dipped them into some rooting powder and right into Fox Farms Happy Frog and it took about a week for most and 2 weeks for some but they all made it surprisingly.

That's sweet I cut 11 my first try and lose 6 I use clone-x and a dome. This is my second try and i cut 39 so I'm going to get something out of these.
That's nuts haha alot of clones you will definately get at least 20 + hopefully in the 30s. I didnt use a dome but just put them in the grow tent and kept the soil moist and misted them once a day for about 12 days.

I've been trying to figure out why your buds are a bit small and I remember that my first grow that was in soil had the same issue (small buds at 7-8 weeks), but that was due to a couple of factors, improper lights and inefficient/wrong nutrients. You have proper grow lights and nutrients so it has to be the nutrients not being taken up properly. I'm guessing that by using the color coded ph test kit it is always mixed in the low 6 area, by not being able to accurately measure the ph it doesn't tell you whether it's at 6.1 or 6.9. it's possible that by feeding over 6 through out the whole grow it locked out the nutrients that cannot be taken up at that level. That is why it's good to let the ph vary to allow the nutrients that can only be taken up at a lower ph of 5.2 or so.
When I switched to coco I didn't have a ph pen and the plants suffered, after I started to ph to the 5.8 area they started to grow healthy but were stunted and that effected my yield too.
Although my 2nd grow in coco had issues too with the lights (which was corrected before flowering), I ph'd properly and the plants produced bigger buds. If you decide to run another plant in coco again, do so with a proper ph pen and I'm sure that you'll see a difference because all of the nutrients will be available to the roots this time around.
