I would trim anything down low enough for rain splash to get on, and I would probably take a few leaves from the center if it was getting too congested. She's lovely, good work
I see you have a weed barrier or plastic down . I'd natural wood chip it if you can it'll break down for you for next year's soil mix and help get carbon in your soil ,help with moisture retention and with worms and things. Just a thought for you to help keep feeding costs a little lower for next years run .

Just one other thing to consider when you're trimming look for any pest or disease problem and address accordingly a heads up boltrotus ( bud rot) starts in the ground then either crawls up the stem you'll see it it's brown spots on the stems or bursts open and floats around in spore's in the wind and it's going to show itself real soon if it's around that's one of the reasons you want trim up away from the soil
