Hello everyone,
I've been following this site for some time and decided to start a journal for myself, I was going to wait until my next grow but thought what the heck, lets start one now:)
I am growing a red dwarf auto and a critical jack auto and both are on day 39 from sprout. They spent their last 36hrs (roughly) as seeds in a glass of water before being put into 8ltr fabric pots. The soil I use is Canna Terra Professional Mix with about 20% extra perite.
They're growing in a 60cm x 60cm x 160 tent with 5" extraction with a rhino pro filter, intake is passive. Lighting is on 18/6 and during the first 2/3 weeks I was using a 300w led (I like these for veg) and they are now under a 250w hps dual spectrum, I wanted them under 400-600w hps but I just can't handle the heat!!!
For feeds I use Green Planet Medi-One, Pro-Cal, Massive and Finisher. For the first 2 weeks from sprouting they only have water and then start them on the nutes. They have both had a little training and some of the lower growth removed.
The red dwarf is growing a lot quicker than the critical jack but then she is a 60 day plant, I would say the critical jack auto is about 2/3 weeks behind in growth, lets see if she can catch up but I doubt it.

It's day 41 from sprout for my two auto's, the Critical Jack Auto is looking well, she had a feed yesterday, she had 1.5ltrs with 9ml of medi-one, 7.5ml of massive and 3ml of pro-cal, she's drinking well and had another 1.5ltrs of water this morning with 3ml of pro-cal.
The Red Dwarf Auto didn't need anything yesterday but she had a feed today, she had 1.5ltrs of water with 3ml of pro-cal, 9ml of medi-one, 7.5ml of massive and 3.75ml of finisher, her buds are starting to firm up nicely and she has a really sweet aroma, her description says she should be ready around 60days from sprouting and its looking like its bang on, the way she is looking I think I should get between 2-3oz of her, maybe more.

Hi everyone, hope you all had a good weekend.

Its day 43 for my two girls, the critical jack auto had a feed yesterday, she had 1.5ltrs of water with 3ml of cal-mag, 9ml of medi-one- 7.5ml of massive and I started her on the finisher, which she had 3.75ml, she had another 1.5ltrs of water today with 3ml of cal mag.
The red dwarf is starting to really swell out, she didn't have anything yesterday and had 1.5ltrs of water with 3ml of cal-mag today. I also backbuilt her yesterday, her buds are smelling really sweet and are sticky as hell. The way she is looking she will be gong into flush at the weekend, I don't think she will go beyond 55 days but lets see, she really is a quick grower. Temps are steady at 23-25c.

Hey Only, you're doing a good job growing them. The dwarf is a chunky one and the critical jack is going to be huge.
Hi Stoneotter, hope you had a good weekend and thanks, the dwarf is flying and yeah the critical is gonna be one big momma, well hopefully

Here's some info I have on both the auto's

Red Dwarf Auto

Seed TypeAutoflowering
Sativa (%)0
Indica (%)0
Grow Time (weeks)8
TypeIndoor & Outdoor
DifficultyEasy
YieldMedium
HeightLow
EffectLazy, Sleepy, Tingly
Medical EffectMigraine, Pain, Stress
Origin & PopularityRed Dwarf is a cross between a White Dwarf and a strong Skunk, which was then crossed with a Ruderalis to create a strong autoflowering strain. Thanks to the Skunk it has a different flavour and a slightly larger crop than other autoflowering plants.
ProductionThe Red Dwarf plant remains, like all autoflowering plants, relatively small and compact, but it does have a high yield. It is small (it grows to an average height of 40 to 60 centimetres), but strong, powerful and fruitful. Its compact structure and dense buds make it ideal to grow both indoors and outdoors when you have limited space, without having to worry about losing potency I even grew a few on my balcony once. The Red Dwarf can be harvested within 8 and 9 weeks. The buds will then become swollen and covered with red hairs.
Character & FlavourLike most Skunk hybrids Red Dwarf has a very strong scent and flavour. The scent is overwhelming and sharp and lingers long after smoking. So keep this in mind if you smoke Red Dwarf indoors and your parents (in law) are coming to visit later on. As you would expect, Red Dwarf’s gives tasty skunky smoke that has a full and rough flavour. Red Dwarf is pretty powerful stuff. It's a true quality strain with powerful effects. It makes you pleasantly stoned and relaxed. I think it's a perfect smoke after a long stressful day. Sit back and relax and leave all your stress behind. In the medicinal field it helps treat muscle tension, stress, pain and migraines.
FeaturesPowerful full skunky smoke Relaxing Stays small and compact, but with a good yield
Suzy's TipRed Dwarf is compact, small and easy to grow and therefore ideal for growers who want to occasionally try a different autoflowering strain.

Critical Jack Auto

Autoflowering
Sativa (%)0
Indica (%)0
Grow Time (weeks)8
TypeIndoor & Outdoor
DifficultyEasy
YieldMedium
HeightLow
EffectCreative, Euphoric, Lazy
Medical EffectMigraine, Pain, Stress
Origin & PopularityIn recent years Critical has become one of the most well-known and cultivated cannabis strains in Spain. On my holidays to the Costa Brava I regularly smoke some tasty Critical on the beach. The Skunk #1 gene, an Indica variety of Afghani origin, is dominant in this strain. The further development of this strain is due to Shantibaba, Neville and Mr. Nice Seed Bank, who came up with the name Critical Mass. Dinafem crossed this Critical Mass with a very productive Sativa, Jack Herer, and this is how Critical Jack was born. A great hybrid with 60% Indica and 40% Sativa. The Afghan Skunk AUTO was also crossed with a Ruderalis, which made it an autoflowering strain.
ProductionA flowering period of 55 to 60 days is enough for the Critical Jack AUTO. Under ideal conditions, with plenty of light and warm temperatures, the plant can grow up to one metre in height. It does not grow very quickly if these conditions are not taken into account, but because it is an autoflowering strain, it will still produce a good quality and yield. The plant has large light green leaves that hang down, but then - in a much shorter period of time than you would expect - there is an explosion of white flowers covered with large crystals. The beautiful floral buds provide a good yield. Prepare for hard, tight, thickly covered buds. A bonus is that the Critical Jack AUTO is resistant to moisture and mould.
Character & FlavourCritical Jack has a strong scent and an intensely fruity and sometimes woody flavour with hints of lemon and incense. The effect of Critical Jack Auto is pretty strong, but 10 to 15% less than the feminised Critical Jack. Critical Jack gives me a massive high and it gives me a euphoric and relaxed feeling. Medicinally it is used to treat pain, stress and poor appetite.
FeaturesStrong but balanced effect Resistant to moisture and mould
Suzy's TipThis is a perfect strain for growth outdoors.

I pulled the girls out again today, the Red Dwarf Auto is flying, she's started to drink a little slower and didn't need anything today, her buds are thickening up each day, she's smelling strong and she is getting really sticky.
The Critical Jack Auto is doing well and has started to give off a woody, sweet smell, she had a feed today, she had 1.5ml of water with 3ml of pro-cal, 9ml of medi-one, 7.5ml of massive and 3.75ml of finisher. Temps steady at 23c.
