Blue Dream'matic Comparison Auto Grow Super Soil Vs Promix+ With LSD-25 Auto On The Side

..and the title of my thread has been edited to remove the word Megacrop. I'm not promoting anything. I'm just giving my experience both good and bad. I understand their reasoning, but in this case I disagree. Oh well, since this is by far the best site on the web for this kind of information, this will be my only complaint.

Same....ive woken up every morning for the last 3 days to receive a msg from a moderator...this morning mega crop was removed from my title as well. Seems like they have fairly strict rules on what you can 'promote' when really i just had it in my title to assist with other mc users about my experience with this product.

Day 43:

Plants continue to develop. Even my sickly LSD-25 is producing flowers and some new green leaves. Her existing leaves that turned yellow still make the plant look sick, but I think she is recovering. Blue dream'matic in Super Soil was so far behind the others in flowering that I broke the rules about just using water. Then again I had already done that when I added organic calmag which halted her deficiency right away. I have ordered some Advanced Nutrients Mother Earth Super Tea Organic to see if I can give her the nutrients she needs. I did have some FF Big Bloom which is just earthworm castings, bat guano and kelp, so I added two tablespoons to her last feeding. Maybe my imagination, but it seems it helped.

Anyway, since my business is quite slow due to this covid-19 crap and I'm sure others are in the same boat, lets have some bud porn!

Stay safe everyone and happy growing!

That is one tent full o'pistils! Looks great and I'm glad the LSD is recovering. In terms of plants showing deficiencies in any LOS, I always say the plant is more important than the medium, so don't sweat whatever you need to do to help the recovery. Just take it as a lesson in what to change with the next soil build.

LSD-25 plant is recovering thanks to you and others who got me moving in the right direction. So many knowledgeable people, willing to help is what makes this such a great site!

Pretty as a picture!

I am fascinated by this plant we all love. I can sit and look at a flowering cannabis plant for ages. There is so much going on and so much to see. I guess I'm easily amused and I know I'm a bit nuts!

I am with you there brother! I can feel disgruntled if there is nothing to watch on the dozens of TV channels available but yet happily sit and gaze upon my plants while inhaling their developing fragrance with no time limit. Mmmm.... :slide: :nerd-with-glasses:

Has anyone who has grown these strains before noticed that they hardly have any odor? My GSC and Pineapple express plants stunk up the whole house every time I opened the tent in the upstairs bedroom. These two strains, despite being in full flower have almost no smell. In fact, with rising temps outside, I'm having trouble keeping the temp in the tent below 80F. I'm tempted to leave the top of the tent open to let heat out.

I have the inline duct fan on full, but it is a 4" fan. A very good one, but 4" (don't remember CFM offhand) I bought it for my first setup which was 27"x27"x60". This tent is 4'x2'x5' so I suppose an upgrade is in order. My fancy controller will run two fans, but the company doesn't sell the fans individually as far as I can tell, so buying a 6" system is going to be my next upgrade. It will have to come after this Covid-19 bullcrap if my business survives it.

Things are looking bleak for this LSD-25 plant. I just don’t think she’s going to make it. Most of the new green growth is turning this same crispy brown and yellow. I gave her a three gallon flush followed by one gallon of 6g megacrop in well water but it didn’t help. She has been under my single board light all along, so this evening I switched places with the Blue Dream in Super Soil. Maybe she didn’t like that light? I’m grasping at straws since the other two plants have had none of these problems. That single board light did just fine on my last grow, so it should be fine.

Any other suggestions?

I'm out of ideas. For the LSD plant, I'll try that organic calmag that seemed to snap the Super Soil plant out of it's deficiency pretty quickly. If it's a deficiency it should help. If not, who knows? The Super soil plant got a feeding of iguana juice bloom and mother earths tea today. We'll see how she likes it. I may try that every other feeding.

Was anything done to bring the pH down in the medium? If it's still at 7.2 then I would tend to believe the plant just can't access certain nutes.

Still chugging along! Besides lsd....cant see too clearly in that light but leaves look like they are losing color from the inside out...im unsure of what that could be. I ran into this issue last grow with a different nute line and flushed all my plants and it was then they started dying. Hope u figure out the issue.
Im only using MC right now due to seeing many issues however my buds seem much skinny than they should be so maybe next grow ill look into BE or something as a booster last 2 weeks

I would love to do that if I only knew how. I’ve searched and can’t find any process to accomplish that. Or rather, the only thing I can find is people saying to lower the pH of nutrients, but I’ve read the thread saying that the pH of nutes doesn’t affect it, but I haven’t found any reference to what does.

She should need a feed tomorrow, I’d love to know what steps I can take.

@MrSauga I read this article: How to maintain the pH of ProMix. From my 4 semesters of undergrad and graduate college chemistry (of which I remember little), alkalinity of a solution IS a direct reflection of the pH. You're either alkaline or acid or neutral. So the article and discussions that I read in the other thread still confuse me. Anyway, it says that the potential alkalinity or acidity of the fertilizer (which it claims all fertilizers list) is what makes the difference. Again contrary to that other thread that said mix your nutes and toss them in without measuring pH. Regardless, I can find no indication of acidity or alkalinity of Megacrop or any of my other fertilizer I have from previous grow.
