you should not need to excess water each pot with 2 litres of nutrient mixture, when I water I get only a small amount of water as runoff that signals me to stop watering.

Allowing a nice bit of run off is important when watering especially with chemical nutrients because it helps wash out and prevent built up toxic salts, this wont be quite so bad when using organic nutrients but you would still get built up salts from using tap water. The only situation I could think of where allowing for run off wouldn't be beneficial would be when using organic nutrients in conjunction with reverse osmosis water.

plants are looking good all are streaching and flowering, i have removed any fan leaves blocking the lower buds and am really pleased with the bud sites they all have, yes i will have 1 main cola BUT with a few tricks i have picked up over the yrs the secondrys should be more than popcorns,

and the best bit of this update my little test plant the one i have used and abused be it wrong nutes, ph tester, topping, and neglect she is loving 12/12 the little lady is a big old bundle of bud sites as soon as i get these ruddy pictures uploaded i will post them here

this lot was taken a wk ago, have new 1's coming just waiting for lights on, this time i'll turn the flash of and u will see deep green on all plants, they are getting big now thou should i just throw the test plant out and give these girls all the space or keep her as my nutes tester??

Looking good mate! I would say keep the test plant you seem to have enough space in that tent and 600 watts of light will cover all of your growing space.

Didn't expect that answer from u doc wasn't so long a go u had written her of for The compost heap lol, my only concern is the abuse she has taken what's the likely hood she hermies?? I don't want to miss a male flower in the tent now whilst the girls are flowering

Hmm that's a good point, you should either get rid of her or keep a very close eye on her so if she does hermie then you will detect it before pollination, I think you will be ok judging on how healthy they look, which one is the abused one?

will do fella, apart from that its going well this end how bout yours?? the russians went to flower shortly before mine didn't they??

and my missus is allowing me free reign to grow as and when i need to but she has said she wants some purple ones shes not a smoker mind she just likes look of them any suggestions on good ones to grow??

My white russians are doing well, every thing seems to be going to plan we have kept the height down, took a good amount of lower growth off and done some defol on the top. I plan to do a update soon.

I haven't grown any purple strains all thou the white widow I grew last had some bits with a purple hue.

been looking at these seeds Auto Dark Devil - Sweet Seeds - Worldwide Marijuana Seeds

lovely looking plant but they are autos are they much different to grow or is it best to find a standard purple??

Put a bin bag over that hermie plant and get rid of it also it looks like you have some sativa plants there which will take a bit longer to flower.

hello doc, hermie was dead and in compost before my last post chap minute i found the balls he was out no 2nd chance's

their all flowering well now thou as u say 2 are a little behind and 2 are budding up lovely, to be honest no issues what so ever, feeling comfortable with the grow plants are looking great, its just a waiting game for the end result i will post more pics soon, till then take care and thanks for the advice its been priceless to me

Hello hope u all are well,

Had a few issues with temp but stable now, plants are looking big healthy and buddy, the cutting has stayed short but is budding up nice she is sticky and smelling so sweet don't think I'll get more than an oz of her, her mother is slightly taller again budding lovely at a guess about 1 and half oz as for the other two well the power Africa is big needs a little trim up so the main flowers get all the energy but I'm guessing about 2oz and the tall girl well if she keeps getting taller and budding at the rate she is I'm going to say she could poss be a 3oz + when she is done,

I'll get photos done now Christmas is out of the way, and show u what I'm seeing but for a first grow I'm very happy and confident I could play with pruning and training nxt time,
I have my loupe 60x and 30x to check readiness of buds

All is sounding good, I am very happy for you! you should definitely do pruning and training next time it's so beneficial! means you can shape the plant how you want it to some extent also creating a even canopy and getting the light where you want it.
