GR's 5 Plant Vertical Grow Winter 19/20

Wow, the bud sites are filling out nicely and the plants are all super cropped as needed.
This coming Wed will be day 21 and trim day. Really looking forward to this trim, rearrangement of buds, giving them the best possible light and trimming up undergrowth and back growth.
On this trim I will be removing all leaf with a 1" stem and rearrange them on the screens.

This is an example of the /trim I will be doing on Wed, it is from my Big Buddha Cheese 5 plant vertical grow.
Germinated and in solo's

Trimmed this one more than the current grow, will see how it goes.

10/27/18 This is what it looked like when we returned from our 2 weeks in the Florida panhandle after hurricane Michael.

12/29/18 And the same plant at harvest. Netting removed for harvest.

Hopefully this Weds trim will turn out like this one did, 23 zips, just over a g/w of jarred cured smokable buds and 6 plus zips of untrimmed buds that went straight into making FECO.

With our trip to Florida iit put me a bit behind on the harvest and every plant began growing into the lamps.

Update: Day 21 of 12/12

Today was major trim day, took forever and damn I sore, all the lifting, bending, stretching and the such.

Made up new rez last night, lowered the EC considerably, hope to not have the issues from past grows after major trim of what I believe is causes from losing leaf mass, making the EC to high for the plant.

I’m anxious to see the results post trim...seems like it would stress the hell out of your plants...you mentioned previous issues. My biggest regret on my first and current grow was lollipopping below a scrog ive since yanked for flower. But...awesome!

Look at some of my grows in my signatures, you can see recovery. My Monster Crop grow has a good example of the recovery. I will post pics of these as they recover.
The issues were not do to the trim, but the EC of the solution given after trim have caused problems, I lowered the EC on this grow after trim to 1.1 EC and will run it for this rez but will begin increasing the EC with the next rez fill.

Lights on tonight and a pic of the room I have now between the lamps and the plants. Will enjoy it while I can as I know in a week I will be retying the entire lot.

We do not use the term Crazy at this house, strikes a cord. :)

Hoping this grow will recover as quick as this one did.

Two days since major trim, back the plants up for the first couple of days to temper the trimmed plants to the high intensity of the lamps.
Prior to moving plants back towards the lamps.

After two days of tempering to the lamps, moved the plants back to the lamps..

Had to do a bit of Super Cropping to Triple Cheese #2 as it had a number of tops growing beyond the lamps light.

Will begin increasing the EC with this next rez fill, was running low so the plant roots are not damaged and the amt of solution is weakened to prevent leaf damage.

Looking great @gr865. Man after my own heart with the defoliation. I run dwc buckets so I try to give all my heavy stripping a couple of days before res changing when the EC is lower. Really enjoying your grow.

Finally registered my account, but I've been reading all your grow journals @gr865 , much-valued information for a coco grower like myself. Will make sure to watch/sub this new grow and leave updates/feedback.

The plants are looking lovely at the moment, the whole "vertical grow" concept is something I mosdef will be trying out myself in the future.

Anyone reading this, feel free to drop by my introduction to the community, it is a quite intimate tale.... A bit nervous regarding the response, but I'm hoping for a warm welcome by the 420fam.

Thanks again!

Sure is looking frosty in there. Your defol is working. Proof is in the pudding as they say. Non believers should check out your grow, I think you would convert them.

cheers,

You know I hope non believers do not look, they always want to get into an argument about defoliation and I am tired of hearing it.
I know it works and don't need someone telling me I fucked up doing it.

Update: Day 28 of 12/12

Pulled the ladies from the tent for inspection, rearrangemt and tie back as need. There was not trimming today. Did remove a foot long cola that had taken a dump, did not realize when trimming last week that I cut into the branch of that plant.
Making a rez solution today, lowering the EC and getting ready for adding either PK13 or Liquid KoolBloom, which ever I choose it will be spread over a two week period at reduced rates.
