GR's Fall '19 Coco Grow

inputting 750 ppm and my rinsate is over 800 ppm

I use the cocoforcannabis method, and we don't worry if the EC of the runoff is within 300 greater than the input, and that's what, around 150ppm. But you are doing exactly what you should if you want to reduce it, increase feeding frequency.

Thanks guys, GT your a HOOT. Did have fun out on the bay, was a bit windy to went to the other side of the bay sheltered by the shore line.

I have CFC website up and was going to read it today but I made some canna candy meds. I love the testing, someone has to do it, but I am very stoned right now.

Update:

Did not accomplish much today.
Well anyway I have an excuse, like I need one, I made a fresh batch of "hard candies" today, and though through testing I found them to work better than I expected. The quality is questionable but the quality is very good.

I did add my second week of Liquid KoolBloom. I brake the LKB into three rez's, so about 12 days instead of the 7 day period that's recommended. In the first rez the rate was 5.25 ml/gal, I increased that rate to 5.5 ml/gal in the tank today and the next tank will be 5.5 ppm also. I do not use the full recommended rate, have found it tends to burn plants.
I have a call in for the House and Garden tec rep to get a recommendation on the use of the H&G pH stabilizer, it has not been doing as they say it does. Tried the method on the bottle and the one that the rep recommended and not working.

My only concern is plant to light distance, hope I have it under control, but it close. Hell my vertical grows the lamp is with in 6 or so inches in late flower. Little different fan setup but I think it will be okay, just gonna need some more bending and tying.
Just post update the other day, but they look wonderful and the fragrance is beginning to flow.

Thanks guys, much appreciate it!
Facing some issues now but hope to get them worked out.
Did 2 tps of my newest failed candies, and have a great buzz right now and look forward to a comfortable sleep.

How on earth do you have your fans set up to keep that CMH from burning them? Mine lamp is 28" above my 28 day old plants and with an 8" hyperfan running at 45% and a little fan inside it hovers around 78-80 in a 70 degree room.

It is not easy and I am seeing some heat issues but not major. I have two 6" stationary fans blowing upward and a 12" oscillating fan. I also keep the room that I draw the air from around 65 degrees 24 hrs a day. The high temps inside the tent with lights on is 80 degrees, and with the lights off it's around 67.
As far as height control, a shitload of Super Cropping, LST, bending/tying and anything I can do to keep them away from the lamp.

What did you find ideal height above your plants to to be for those CMH’s through veg and early flower?

Depending on the type of grow, vertical is 10 to 12 inches, horizontal is 14 to 18 inches.

Update: Day 50 12/12

Was able to get about 5 more inches in height by stretching the top of the tent a bit. This give me about 15 to 17 inches from lamp to plants, can and have to live with that till harvest. Angled the lamps inward and they seem to be fine.

During my recent 4 day trip my assistant came by to check pH prior to each watering, refill the rez as needed and just keep a general eye on the ladies. When I left on Thursday I had forgot to put the irrigation on auto so when he arrived on Friday morning to check them he called and said there was no runoff and I told him to check the timer and he said it was off. Had him turn it on for two three minute cycles 5 minutes apart. So saw no damage for the missed one night watering.
I was getting some heat stress and a bit of nute burn. My runoff ppm has been high and pH low. input at 700 and today's runoff at 880 ppm with a pH of 5.62. So this morning I added two gallons to the 3 plus gallons left in the rez too bring the ppm down to 505, pH of 6.0 and flushed the pots. Finish flush runoff was 601 ppm with a pH of 5.93.
I am at week 7 so I will begin lowering the ppm with each rez fill till final flush and going to run my pH at 6.0. Looks like the Indicas will be close in the next couple of weeks and the sativas could take up to two plus weeks more.

This morning I put 6 seeds of each strain in water with a tad bit of CaliMagic and Rapid Start, to start germination. Both were from Barneys Farm, Triple Cheese and Ayahuasca Purple. Liking the AP as 5 of the 6 seeds sunk to the bottom of the jar right away, only one of the TC's sunk. Will check on them later to see who all will sink.

Hope to get a good germ rate.

Edit: Adding the rest of each strain so now it's 10 Triple Cheese and 9 Ayahuasca Purple, lost one of the seeds somewhere.
