Did a lot of looking at the particulars of the lights. I was running a digital ballast 600W HID. That light draws 612 W of power an hour. The Mars II 1200 is a 1200 W light that draws 520 - 600 W. That was the biggest reason for me going to the LED. Twice the light at the same cost as a HID and no changing bulbs. I must admit that I live in the Pacific Northwest (Washington state) where the power rates are probably the cheapest in the nation. I think by all rights my power consumption will go down. I no longer need a fan to draw air through the hood and on a good day, I will draw about 100 W less an hour. The LED cost me $479 shipped so not such a bad deal. Sara at TopLED was awesome to work with.

Where are you paying 900 pounds (Hope thats right) for that light. Pretty sure that TopLED sells these lights in the UK and the price should be I would think about 280 pounds each

WWxBB is a 7-8 week flower which I will push out to 8 weeks just to be sure or until all the trichomes are cloudy and no amber. Don't like the whole kochlocked thing except for a night when it bed time.

And oh hell yeah, put me on a flight to the UK. That is one country I have not been to that I would love to see. And hell if the is good I may even stay. I would be great to be just a dirt farmer. I could really do this for a living.

I will have to chat to Sara ? to see what she can do for me, but I went on the site Top led and when I went to the same light you have I had a choice on the drop down menu, it asked me do I want it for Veg or Flowering ?? now that suggest to me that it is two different lights ? the light you have is there a switch on it to turn off veg and switch on Flowering ? or do you have to buy two different lights as the drop down menu suggests ?.

The second problem most growers from my part of the world will have is they seem to be based in the USA and post from there out to anywhere in the world, china is free for some reason ! if I ordered these lights from them in the US, UK custom will hit me with high tax and I am dam sure it wont be left there as they will inform the police. so unless Sara has a European base ( which I don't think she has ) I doubt growers in Europe would run the risk of having X amount coming through customs. all great if you are in a legal country!.

I have just visited Top Led's site again, and it does state that they have a warehouse in the UK !! never even seen that the first visit. so your grow will tell me if they are any good or not ! is this Sara on this forum ?

my WWXBB came from Female seeds. who's did you get yours from ? I ask this because of saying about you " might " not have females.

Also the WWXBB the WW part only comes in on the last two weeks. and the Trichomes never go Amber they only get fat and cloudy and a little creamier in colour I thought I would post that up just in case others might be growing this could be waiting for the Amber !!

Good morning all,

I have flipped the lights. I tend to give them 36 hours of dark (Helps me adjust my time table for 12/12). Boy howdy, when I opened the tent for the first time after the lights came on, all the new growth was like neon green (with sun glasses on) I will have to take a picture tonight.
I know I bought feminized seeds but waiting for them to show their true sex. Couple of more days I expect. Don't know this for a fact but have heard there is no guarantee that they will be girls. Guess we will find out.

I do hope you took a huge intake of breath when opening that tent door for the first time! using that light how is the heat ? as with the normal HID's it gets very very hot what is your light like ?

RL has been insane so I haven't been able to update as much as I like. But with that being said, here we are in day 9 of flowering.

I had heard on another forum where LED lights cause a nutrient deficiency. Well I must be doing something wrong as these girls appear to be ubber healthy.

One last note for the day, I will be thinning the girls pretty aggressively on day 11 of flowering. Getting a bit thick in there.

What temps / humidity are you running ?

what temp does your led light run at and what are you using to cool it

Cannabis plants grown under LED light panels have a higher requirement for calcium and magnesium. Often a calcium and magnesium supplement is needed to supply the cannabis plants with enough nutrients when grown under LED light panels.

The stretch is usually done but the first 2 weeks. You don't want to do it any earlier because they are in transition from veg to bloom. There is a whole article here on 420 that speaks to the aggressive defoliation. I swear by it after the last time. I just did the defoliation last night and it is amazing what is underneath all those fan leaves....... bud sites everywhere that where starving for light. You can now see light all the way through the planet. I will post a picture tomorrow.

I've always done defoliation at day 21 and 45 of flower.
