Rust?

Found a small piece of rusting metal in my soil. would it do any harm or maybe some good if i left it there. Its flat and tiny, about 1/8" square.

Just curious.

I can't really see it aiding anything so I would just play it safe and get rid my friend. Better safe than sorry eh!

Mmm rusting metal ah...

Well that provides iron (micro nutrient) to the soil... very unlikely it will cause any harm at all to the plants


To be total honest rusting nails is an age old application associated to acidic soils where FE- iron def is commonly known between us true gardeners by trade...
